Newspaper and Magazine Reader Possible for 3DS

Satoru Iwata reveals a possible new feature to Nikkei.

In a recent Nikkei interview, Satoru Iwata elaborated on the planned uses of the 3DS' ability to automatically connect to nearby wireless access points and download information.

Similar to the newspaper subscriptions for Amazon's Kindle, one of the possible uses could be the automatic download of newspaper and magazine articles.

The Nintendo DS is currently being used for all sorts of multipurpose applications in Japan, so this approach falls in line with what Nintendo is already doing with the 3DS' little brother.

Holding it book style with two different page sizes will be a tad awkward.
Bless you, my child.
Please turn the power OFF.

And Jonny, you don't ride the giant Cheep-Cheep

I think the long ways will be nice...and if some sorta scroll system could be used instead pages, it could work...maybe.

Honestly, I don't like the electronic book trend on such small screens.

Hopefully the touch screen is multi touch, because that could make for an excellent book reader on DS

Read on the wide screen and all touch controls on the touch screen.
used as a mouse pad (select & highlite)
touch to zoom (or double tap if no multi-touch)
touch to move around the page (drag & scroll)
flick to move to the next page
