Oh, the Cube's had wrestling excusives..... that were both crap. Well, XIX was good, but x8 was utter garbage. Though I suppose I shouldn't say anything about x8. After all, I bet somwhere at Yukes, a 16 year old highschool dropout cokie pothead with autism and a nervous tic worked hard for a whole two days making that game.

The GCN controller is honestly the most comfortable thing you can hold, but it's lacking one thing: BUTTONS. They could have easily put on another Z-Trigger or another X/Y-jellybean-shape button between the B and X buttons.

Also, what N needs to do is make thier buttons 100% analog like the PS2's, and even make the "Stick click" effect as seen in PS2 and Xobox controllers.

As well, they really need to strengthen the joysticks, especially the main stick. I've gone through four controllers already that have broken down in a little over a year. Too much Smash Bros

If Nintendo wants to be sucessful in 2005, here's what points they need to consider:

1. Online play: for some reason, people like these laggy, glitchy, godmoddy pay-out-the-nose crapfests.

2. DVD/CD playback- While DVD's aren't as popular as they were at the PS2's release, i think Nintendo's going to be even more shunned as kiddy if they don't have that apperance of complexity. It sucks, I know, but it seems like Nintendo has to get their fingers into every little pie they possibly can.

3. MAture titles: Give a big pile of money to SK and Retro and wait a year or two. Let them handle the Mature stuff. Mature games with that classic Nintendo innovation. God, that's the good stuff right there.... *Loves Eternal Darkness*

4. Attract 3rd PArties: This is an absolute must if Nintendo wants to shed it's "Stuck in a koopa shell" image.

5. New franchies/rebirth of old ones- Put Zelda and MArio on hold for a bit, and why not bring back the oldskool (albeit hardly remembered) classics like Mach Rider or Kid Icarus for a new generation? *Would really really really like a nuskool Mach Rider game*

6. Advertising- And I mean lots of it. Go on, turn on your TV and watch it for half an hour. When was the last itme you saw a Nintendo comemrcial that DIDN;T advertise the free game/demo disc w/ a Gamecube deal? Answer: MArio Golf, and it's not helping Nintendo's hindering kiddy image either. If Nintendo wants to boost sales, then they've gotta' get up off their lazy hineys and PUSH SOME ****!!! Know what we could all use right now? An F-Zero commerical. Come on, we all want it....

*Whew* There, I'm done. Anyone want to comment?

Multiplayer in MEtroid Prime 2, eh? Oh sure, I don't have to play it, but guess what? Single player Metroid > Multiplayer Metroid, no matter how you slice it. And guess what as well? Single Player + Miltiplayer = More compression. More compression = BAD. Very bad. Metroid Prime, though it was a totally kickass game, had large room for improvements, and stuffing in a Multiplayer would either A) take away possible improvemtns, B) Add more compression/loading times, or C) Make MP2 crash even more than Prime (Hard to believe, eh?).

Oh sure, you can have two discs for Single and Multiplayer, but a lot of hardocre MEtroid purists would rather shove a Zeta Metroid up their backsides than to have to shell out an extra 10 bucks for something they'll never play. I mean, only Pokemon games can get away with that money-grubbing....

Well said. I don't mean to be an Xbox basher when I say this, but If you went around your local mall with a red cap with a large letter M on it, people would look and point and say "Look, he;s got a MArio cap on!", as opposed to getting a stunningly-exact replica of a Halo Marines helmet design on your cap, people may not even notice. And I'll say I'm not bashing the Xbox again in case you missed the first part. The only reason why people like the PS2, IMESHO, is because it's got all the "mainstream" games, such as GTA and Kingdom Hearts. The only reason why people like the Cube, IMESHO, is becuase we get more uber-swheetness per game, and finally, IMESO again, Xbox fans like the Xbox because you can kill and mangle tons of people in massive bloodbaths in awesome graphics. Then again, maybe it's just me...

And I'll say it again. I'm not bashing Xbox, and if I am, I don't mean to.

Why do I like ED? Becuase it's something completely different. Normally, when you add zombies+blood+gore+good game you usually get Resident Evil. Put Zelda-gameplay+blashpemy+zombie+blood+gore+totally-intriguing-story and you get ED. No, unlike RE, ED isn't the typical blast-the-rotting-brains-out-of-ugly-dead-guys-for-the-sake-of-blasting-the-rotting-brains-out-of-ugly-dead-guys. The only other reasonw hy I like ED so much is becuase of, well, the characters. Who knew you could go from playing as a Roman Centurion in ancient PErsia in 23 BC to a common U-of Washington student in 2000 AD, and have the two so connected?

Sure, the graphics aren't nearly as delicious as RE, but the story more than makes up for that. ED is one of my favroite games, and anyone who appreciates Nintendo's will to be different will like this game too.

Oh yeah, and because we gets lots of bloody violence and people going insane. Those are always good.

The reason why the 'Cube is so cheap compared to the PS2 and Xcrap is because it doesn't have CD/DVD playback. And thank God, too.

If I were you, I'd pick up a copy of Smash Bros Melee or Eternal Darkness. Those are a must for any 'Cube owner. So is Metroid Prime and Skies of Arcadia Legends, but those should't be out in Scotland yet....
