L'Arc~en~Ciel? Asian Kung-fu Generation? Orange Range? B'z? 175R? Morning Musume? These are all incredibly popular (and great-sounding) groups in Japan...

And people are complaining about getting "popular" songs on our list...So yeah!

Obviously the situation isn't EXACTLY the same, but these "popular" japanese groups are sure to be hated by "anti-mainstream" goons over in Japan, just like over here.  I'm willing to bet plenty of gamers over in Japan are all "Morning Musume, what ridiculous gril-band filth!" or something to that effect :P

They should have like nothing but '80s glam metal.  I'd buy it.

I'm pretty sure that's an improvement over J-pop. Pop is horrible but J-pop is too bad for words.

well this song list has been floating around the net for about 3 weeks now, so i doubt his blog is really as exclusive as you said it is
edit: oct.3, they listed half that list and the name of the stages

as for songs, i only liked 2-3 from the japanese import while this song has about 6-8 songs that i like

Since most of these songs will be covers I really don't care.  However, I'm very sad that we won't be getting Hardware Store.  That would've been amazing as a stage.

Okay.  I would be willing to make that compromise as long as a few good glam metal anthems are in (power ballads are kinda boring).  I bet they could come up with something for Poison's Come Hell or High Water.
