Playing GBA-games on the GC
« on: July 01, 2004, 04:44:43 AM »
Since A link to the past wont be released on GC and Four Swords won't come to Sweden for quite a while according to the release dates I was wondering if buying the GBA-version of a link to the past along with the GBA-player for GC was worth it. Has anyone tried it? Is it really ugly when played on a large TV(42" or similar size?

The translation from tiny portable screen to full sized television is remarkably smooth, I play GBP (Gameboy Player) all the time, what with Advance Wars, Castlevania, Link to the Past, and none of them lose anything. So, grab your self a GBP and LTTP!

Can you play multiplayer in Fours Swords(GBA-version) too on the GC or do you need GBA for that?

unfortunatly the GBP turns the GCN into a single GBA so to speak, meaning you'll still need three other GBAs, beit GBP, GBA or GBA SP. So you'll still need link cables, two - four copies of the game, and two - four GBAs

But that would ruin the ballot but looks like a uber cool super ultra GCN-GBA "LAN party"(BLOL) now i bet those dusty PS2 and Xbox units feel lonely. P.S. Nintendo probably never though of this level of GCN-GBA "LAN" connectivity.
