Nintendo Gaming / Stuff Magazine Gamer Reviews
« on: July 18, 2003, 01:03:17 PM »
You can find a bit of what to expect from their new magazine here, but for all the review addresses, you have to take out the "video_" part.

So, if the address is:
http://www.stuffmagazine.com/hype/reviews/video_games_review_5126.html

You change it to:
http://www.stuffmagazine.com/hype/reviews/games_review_5126.html

They actually don't look that bad, except for the total lack of GameCube exclusive coverage.  The only reference to a GCN exclusive game they have is in the Defender review where they recommend Rogue Squadron III if you liked Defender.

I do like how they don't pick apart every aspect of the game, but at times they are a little to simple.  Some reviewers really dock games for not being "reolutionary" or new, but most games aren't as bad as the reviews they get.

TalkBack / EA Announces New Sims GameCube Game
« on: May 08, 2003, 08:47:19 PM »
I think it's better to wait a few months for the sequel.  I don't like buying games and then buying an expansion pack (at a full game price) a few months later.

TalkBack / GameCube Preview Disc Avaliable This Month
« on: May 08, 2003, 07:17:11 AM »
Anyone thik 9.99 is a little steep for just the disc itself?  I'll probably get it, but I think it's a little bit of a rip-off to charge $9.99 for a disc when the other manufacturers make a disc with more on it for $6.99, and it comes with a mgazine.  And you can buy it in most grocery and drug stores.  If they packaged it with NP and made it cost $6.99 or $7.99, I think it'd be a much better deal.

Unless the Nintendo Puzzle Collection is on it.  Then I must buy no matter what.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was released in Europe on the GameCube's second birthday, May 3.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was the European GameCube's first birthday, not the second.  The US one just had its first birthday in november, and I remember the European Cube being after the US one.  Do I get a cookie?

Wow, this is WAY too soon.  I might've checked out the current one, but not now.  I'll wait.  Come on, it's only been out like a month.  I think it's been selling fairly well.  Bad move or EA; this will turn off many potential buyers.  Great job on giving sales a nice shot in the foot...

I wonder if it was SNES version or GBA.  Probably SNES.  I should buy it sometime.  My local trade in shop has it for $5, but I have the GBA version for now.

TalkBack / Nyko Wins Worm Light Court Case

I think everyone who wants a Worm Light already owns one, so nobody realy cares.  But, it's really perfect for playing GBA in bed at night without the parents knowing.  I like mine a lot. I hook it up to the AC adapter so it doesn't even use any extra battery power.

My friend has Tails' Adventure.  It's already been released in America, no translation required.

If these could be squeezed on GBA, I would most definitely buy this, even though I own it on Dreamcast.

I have a friend whose cordless phone cuts out whenever someone uses the microwave.  It's mildly humorous, but mostly annoying.  But I think it's just because he has a really old microwave.

Actually, blue in french is "bleu".  Spanish is "azul".  "Blu" is italian.

Damn, I wish I was in London!.  I'm not sure what I'd get him to sign, though.  Probably my OoT cart.  Or I'd buy a Limited gold edition Zelda OoT on Ebay and get him to sign the box and cart.
