In honor of the upcoming releases of Tron Legacy and Disney Epic Mickey, PDP has announced special controllers to be released alongside each game.

For Epic Mickey, PDP has created a special paintbrush Nunchuk controller. The controller connects to the Wii Remote and features a joystick, C and Z buttons, and a foam tip. A controller stand featuring Mickey battling the Ink Blot will also be included along with the paintbrush controller. A release date for the controller and the stand hasnÂ’t been announced.

With Tron Legacy being released soon, PDP announced a set of Tron-themed controllers for the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The controllers feature the trademark neon blue lights the Tron franchise is known for.

All controllers will cost $50 and will be released this fall.

Special thanks to Blacknmild2k1 for the news tip!

Paintbrush nunchuk is awesome. Lame charging stand is lame. Don't need more unusable clutter.

Tron controller could be cool if it isn't third party stereotypical quality.

I actually think the opposite. The controller stand would make a nice table piece especially for a den or kids room.
amd I think the paint brush is technically on the wrong part of the controller. Is't your Wiimote supposed to be your paintbrush?

edit: Can a mod please put the "Submit News" link back up at the top of the forum now that E3 is over?

So when's the chainsaw controller making a return?!   that would be perfectly suited to the wii...  they could even incorporate both the remote and the nunchuck into it as different handles on the chainsaw.  Swinging the chainsaw: on-screen carnarge!

With Motion Plus & chainsaw sounds coming out of the controller itself!!
would be perfect.

Yes. You aim the cursor with the Wii Remote and move it around to perform the brush strokes. The Nunchuck just moves Mickey around.

I guess the reason they went with the Nunchuck design is because the Wii Remote design would block the pointer or interfere with it.

Yeah. I realize that, I'm just pointing out how it's backwards.
Physically I'm holding the paintbrush in my left hand, but Virtually I'm painting with my right hand..... could get confusing.
