Nintendo Gaming / RE: LMAO, Sony losing it!

This clearly says the PS3 will be unveiled before the end of Sony's fiscal year, which is March. They showed this at the E3 2004 press conference. What happened?

Oh, I see you edited your post, found out you were wrong huh? Honest mistake, don't doubt me in the future.

They made it quite clear they would be showing a glimpse of the PS3 console to the public, and they didn't. Wait and see, this is going to be a VERY interesting E3.

Excuse me? Ladies and gentleman, ABSOLOUTE MASTER has been hired by either Sony or M$ to go on forums and make Nintendo look bad, it's just pathetic, you have no real arguments or responce so you just call me an idiot, right! How much do they pay you?

This has been Nintendo's strategy all along. The Nintendo GameCube gained Nintendo more developer support, and that's all they were really reaching for. Now almost every developer has incredible respect for Nintendo, and THEY know that the PS3 just isn't shaping up and the Xbox 2 is a rushed minor Xbox upgrade that's going to be hard to develop for. Revolution will have a low consumer friendly price and will be the only next generation system developers will be able to profit from.

What? This is a serious matter, are you hired by Sony to make Nintendo fans look stupid by posting in this forum?

Square aren't supporting the PSP, but they have over 8 games in development for Nintendo DS, what does that tell you?

cloud: If you want 11 dead pixels, a broken square button and unplayable "games" for the price of 5 GameCubes, then buy a PSP.

ABSOLOUTE MASTER: What are you talking about? Did you read my post? Nintendo will come out on top because of the reasons I listed, and how can they not? The Revolution's going to be something VERY special, trust me on that, PS3 won't even come out, and Xbox 2 will be a rushed minor Xbox upgrade, it's too easy.

I'm sure you've all heard about Sony's court case, well that combined with MANY other factors, including throwing away LOTS of money towards the PSP, which has failed to sell, pretty much confirms what i've been saying all along! Sony are about to cave in and there will be no Playstation 3! Remember at Sony's E3 presentation last year? They clearly stated PS3's unveiling would be at the end of March, well March has already passed and LOL there's no PS3 announcement. My sources confirmed my thoughts about this when my friend from an unnamed developer told me the news that they were not to develop for Sony consoles anymore for some reason.

Now, Xbox 2. I've heard that the development kits have NOT even been sent out yet, and it's supposed to launch THIS YEAR according to M$, LMFAO!! That combined with the fact that they lost BILLIONS with the Xbox and they need to make money with this, will ensure it's a crappy low budget console, and that it will be incredibly overpriced, i'm heard numbers around $600 US.

My friends, Nintendo's time to shine is now! Let's celebrate as we are about to enter another golden age of gaming where Nintendo will be number one!

Guys, I have a source that can not be named, who works at a company I can not say, who is currently developing several Nintendo Revolution games. He told me what was so special about the console and WOW this is going to blow Sony and M$ away, it's amazing. Here's a hint: Look around you.

Ah, yet another one of Nintendo's inventions that Sony picked up, and spat on. Too bad they won't even be around anymore by the time Nintendo Revolution is out!! LMAO

15
Ha Ha!!! Fools, oh it's a good time to be anyone but Sony! Thanks to all the production problems and more than half of the systems being defected, the public is going to be pissed! This is Sony's downfall people, they are throwing money down the drain and developers won't be supporting PSP much longer!

This is great news!!!  Can Super Mario RPG be far behind?  (Quietly, No #7 thinks to himself that we will probably hear about that one before the end of the year.)

Can't wait to see what else Sqaure-Enix has in store for us.  (cautiously wonders if some of the incredible rumors are true)

It's going to be a great year for gaming!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: NEW Nintendo console to launch in China
« on: September 25, 2003, 02:17:19 PM »
I love China, my next trip there is planned for early 2005.

Your'e right they may have an uphill battle there, but this brilliant little machine is perfect fo a market filled with piracy and Big N knows it.  Heck they may even be prepared for the idea.  Their thinking might be that as long as Nintendo's brand names penetrate the market, they will tollerate a little piracy.

As for the Chinese not knowing Nintendo's products, I'm not sure if it's entirely true.  Although you are right about FF8, yuck!  Still, China is the capital of GBA pirate carts.  GBA is huge over there.
Plus you can buy a bootleg Famicom in just about every shape and size you can think off.  I have seen them in the shape of N64 controllers, pseudo X-Box's and even in the guise of the PSone.
Quite hillarious.

Recently, I purchased a Chinese made, bootleg Mario cart.  On the cart's label Mario is pictured with Capatain Crunch and Snow White! lol!

In the end, I want one of these systems!!!!!!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Atari questioning further Cube support??

Whatever Cannuck....Why don't you get off the high horse.  Just because you don't agree with me, doesn't make you correct.  I guess you 10 year olds forget about "personal opinions."

Hey canadian, how many game systems to you own?  I have over 30 from just about every company in the business.  How am I a fanboy again?  IGN sucks, it's a fact.

As for Atari, many industry insiders and business analysts expect Atari to be out of business in a year or less.  It's the truth.

Here's a fact that was convientiently overlooked by the idiots at IGN.

Atari will be out of business in less than a year.  Some analysts say 6 months.

Also, I would love a one on one debate with Matt Cassima or any other morons over at IGN.CUBE.

Their only job is trash Nintendo (and Sega) and to praise their $ony masters.

I heard some REALLY HEAVY gossip from this company reguarding Microsoft.  I'm not sure I should post if however...

As for the controller/handheld concept.  I recently heard that the "cost of goods" on the original GBA was $25.  Can anyon confirm it?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: New York Post slams Nintendo
« on: September 24, 2003, 01:17:01 PM »
Something is seriously wrong here.  I'm actually going to agree with Mouse!

Microsoft is screwed, there's no other way to put it.  They have lost OVER 3 Billion dollars on the X-Box.  Plus there is a "Civil War" going on inside the company over M$'s future, and whether or not it should include future "X-Box" systems.  I've said this before, when I was at this years E3, I spoke to a Microsoft Rep from the companies PC division.  His words concerning X-Box we're, "F*** the X-Box!"
Again, I appologise for the language, but this is exactly what he said.  That's not exactly what I would call "towing the company line."

(Now I hated saying all of that, even though it was all true.  I love my X-Box and it is a nice compliment to my GameCube.)

As for $ony, they are the single reason that we are headed for an enourmous video game industry crash.  Their policy of "style over substance," "dump bin games," and "endless clone games and sequels" has seriously dilluted this market.  The industries numbers are down, people are being laid off, and companies like Square are posting their biggest losses ever.  (Some people blame $ony's involvement with Square for those losses.)

There was a time when the PSX was the retailer's "darling."  My own company bought so deep on PSX games that we still have dump bins FILLED with even some of the most popular titles.  Now, the image of $ony being the "Cash Cow" is starting to change.  Everytime I visit one of my companies stores and I see those dump bins, I'm starting to understand why.

Now, neither company is just going to dry up and blow away.  Still it will be interesting to see who survives the crash.  Now maybe people will understand why Nintendo has taken such a conservative approach to the game industry over the past 5 years.  They can see the writing on the wall.  When you are a 115 year old company, you tend to think in terms of decades rather than just years.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:N5 = A Console and A Hand Held in one?

www.gameconsole.tv

This is a link to the DISCover website.  I found this little machine in the dubious "Kentia Hall" at this years E3.  Basically, it's a "game console" that allows you to play PC titles on your living room tv.  As an added bonus, the machine uses an "auto boot script" that makes all PC game "plug and play" rather than having to install each one.  This makes playing the games more like a standard game console, as opposed to a PC, where you must install each game individually.

The system comes in three sizes.  The medium sized unit is featured on their top page.  It is slgithly larger than Sega's brilliant CD-X system.  The largest is the size of a regular, cube shaped pc case.  The smallest unit, which is also quite stripped down, is about the size of a large compact disc player.  And just in case you are interested, I did play the system and it did work quite well.  This isn't "Vapor Ware" like the phantom or $ony's "cell chip."

As for the cost of controller with color screens, I must say this.  First the cost of making the original GBA is amazingly low.  Second if you could keep your costs low on the console itself, you could make up for any loss on the controller.  Plus Nintendo's in a good position, it has never released a $300 console.  If the next system cost $250 or $275, but it came with it own handheld, they could easily justify a price increase on their systems.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: F Zero GX VS XGRA
« on: September 22, 2003, 08:56:37 PM »
From what I saw at E3, Xgra doesn't even come close to the speed of F-Zero.  However the title may have changed since then.  Still it looks promising, and I thought Extreme-G3 wasn't bad.
(I picked it up for $9, lol)

Grey, I don't think you understood my post.  Seriously, check your reading.

Again, for the 3rd time, I DO NOT mean a portable Game Cube!  (Arrrgghhhh!!!!)  This is also NOT the same topic as that stupid thread in the GC forum.  If you had read either, you would know this.

What I'm saying is that, what if NES-5 has a controller that also doubles as the next GameBoy?
It would be wireless, and of course, you could buy one seperately.  However it would act to enchance the gaming experience of almost every title from sports games to rpgs.  Plus, what if you could download games from Nintendo's massive back library of hits and then play them on the go with your handheld controller/GB?

Truly it would be a vision of the future.

As for your assertion that yo have played games for 15 years.  I've had a console since 1977.  I shook hands with Miyamoto when Donkey Kong was out.  I even have an underground game title that has surpassed 10,000 copies world wide.  Brother, you're preaching to the converted.

ps. DISCover produces a pc that is smaller than a compact disc player.  A portable GameCube probably is technically possible, but it won't happen and who would wan't one.  I have SERIOUS doubts about handhelds that use optical disc mediums...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Games that should be remade for the cube
« on: September 22, 2003, 08:23:20 PM »
I'm glad to hear that you guys love Rush 2049.  My friends and I played the death match non-stop.
We even had a small tournament in which, one of the 8 participants, made trophies for the top 3 winners.  The 1st place trophy was a race car, the 2nd place was a 1970's muscle car and the 3rd place trophy was an ambulance.

As for re-makes, here goes:

Final Fantasy 7, w/ multi player options
Super Punch Out
Excite-Bike (in an exageratted, cartoonish style)
San Francisco Rush 2049
Toy Commander
Super Mario RPG (I bet the original shows up on GBA)
Pilotwings
R.C. Pro Am
A decent four player Tetris
Kid Icarus
CastleVania:Symphony of the Night
Hogan's Alley/Duck Hunt/Super Scope 6
Phantasy Star 4
The Legendary Axe (NEC is back in gaming, who knows)
Magician Lord
A 2-D Sonic the Hedgehog (or pseudo 3-d)
Tempest 2000

There's so many more, I don't want to go on forever...
