TalkBack / RE: Nintendo GameCube Nearly Sold Out!
« on: March 01, 2004, 03:14:08 PM »
This is pathetic.  Of course when you stop making them you're gonna run out. This is all a cheap marketing ploy to make the Gamecube seems more appealing than it is, much like Sony did when it under-produced the PS2 at launch.

TalkBack / RE:Nintendo Announces Wireless GBA Link
« on: October 01, 2003, 09:00:56 PM »
I don't understand why Nintendo would not make this work as a link cable replacement when Triton Labs is making one that will be widely available. How hard could it have been to do this with an amateur company pulling it off?

General Gaming / Snake Eater???
« on: May 10, 2003, 09:58:16 AM »
I was rather confused by it too. Mostly because I have a hard time believing they'd call any game "Snake Eater", but also because I can't see anyone just making such a large well-made fake. I guess we'll be able to make heads or tails about ti at E3.

Nintendo Gaming / SP early at Walmart?
« on: March 20, 2003, 05:16:27 PM »
Well, I went to both the Walmart and EBgames in Robinson today (outside Pittsburgh, PA) and got the following. Walmart said they're not available, but the guy kinda infered that they had them. EB told me they are in, but they can't sell them until Sunday. Grr!

And by the way, this is by far the most popular thread I've ever started!

That stinks. Can't you just take one and leave $99.99 sitting on the counter. It's not really stealing, right?

Nintendo Gaming / SP early at Walmart?

I think places that did take pre-sales (like websites) sold out their first shipments, but places like Walmart, Circuit City, etc. didn't do a pre-sale program so it's first come, first serve.

Nintendo Gaming / PIKMIN 2 screens (and kirbys air ride screens)
« on: February 25, 2003, 07:47:45 AM »
As I recall, Kirby's Air Ride was going to be an N64 racing game who's big plug was randomly generated tracks, so it was never the same. I remember seeing screens of Kirby and Kind Dedede racing around.

Nintendo Gaming / Wireless Game Boy

It would be nice to have a wireless link. I'm always paranoid that the cord will come disconnected during a session of Four Swords or something.

Nintendo Gaming / Mario Party e?
« on: February 25, 2003, 05:08:33 AM »
I'm looking at this on some websites, and what it sounds like is a card game that every so often, you scan one into the Ereader and play a mini game. Has anyone played it yet? Does it require 4 GBAs and/or 4 Ereaders? If it is what I think it is, then it sounds like a lot of fun for $10. Thanks!

Nintendo Gaming / Shining Soul

I didn't realize that it wasn't planned for USA release, but their doing it in Europe? Does Sega not like money or something. I'm sure it will come here eventually.
