Nintendo Gaming / Re: Grip Add-Ons for DS/GBA SP
« on: March 29, 2009, 06:33:36 PM »
I just found one for the SP. It looks like a set of GC controller handles. Now I'm trying to find one for the DS with as few frills as possible.

Nintendo Gaming / Grip Add-Ons for DS/GBA SP
« on: March 22, 2009, 04:39:06 PM »
I got a question for the community. I'm looking for a grip for both my SP and DS Lite, now that I have more time to play them. The systems are a little small for my hands, so I'm looking for grips to increase the amount of space to grip. Anyone have suggestions on which ones are best, and where to find them for reasonable prices.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: What have you pre-ordered for 2009?
« on: January 13, 2009, 01:27:54 PM »
That sounds insanely expensive.

You have no idea.  But at least I have more games at hand than any human could ever play.  (The dilemma is that I could probably play most of them if I were not employed, but then I couldn't afford to buy them!)

That is my problem. I can't find a job anywhere. So my gaming purchases come when someone is nice to give me money for doing anything. If I had the cash, I'd have preordered MadWorld, House of the Dead: Overkill, Dead Rising, and a few others.

Can they seriously pull their thumbs out, and release a patch that allows for USB HDD use.

I was waiting for this game since its inception. Now that I realize that Harmonix is a bunch of slackers, I have no reason to put $170 of my hard earned money in their pockets

Professional, I think it was more that he wanted to play together. Which is why we were able to play Ghost Squad. But I only have one guitar, and I was right in the middle of "One"

I was tempted when i was home over christmas to bring my Wii out and hook it up in the family room. But since thats where the nice tv is, my mom doesn't want the random remote to go flying and break the screen (yea, she saw those youtube videos). But my dad did come in one day to my room and ask if he could try Guitar Hero III. I said let me finish my song, and he never came back. We did have a nice round of Ghost Squad though. Maybe I'll try over summer and get my mom and sis to play Wii Sports. Maybe then they'll buy their own and leave mine alone!

Well, the stores around my school all have wiis in about every other week. Granted it is only 3 or so units. But its something. Glad I found mine over summer by hitting up walmart everyday on my way home from work. My DS was about 1/4 of the difficulty. Only had to go for three or so days to find it.

Well, mysticspike, thank you for the compliments

As for the game: I was expecting at least stereo considering it says Dolby ProLogic II. I was expecting something along the lines of DLC (I at least want the three boss battles, especially "Devil"). Maybe they could sell us a CD of the DLC to download to our Wii until we get online abilities. Also, I can't unlock any of the co-op stuff because none of my friends want to play on a wiimote only. As for faceplates, where have you found ones for the wii-tar

Best Played, maybe

Best Released, far from. Neversoft dropped the ball with the lack of DLC, no extra guitars within two weeks of release, and no stereo/surround sound

Of course. We develop a machine that is marketed toward the gamer (gamecube), and we get screwed. We develop a mass appeal system (Wii), and we get screwed. Ghostbusters, like Star Wars, is a franchise that just screams to be on the Wii

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but has anyone seen anything as to when they are releasing the extra controllers?

Funny, i walked into the Target by my school. THey had three copies for the Wii, and at least three of the PS3, 360 and PS2 versions. At best buy right near by, probably 40+ copies of the Wii version.

Well, I have 5 gamestops within 15 minutes of my school. two in the same mall (opposites ends and styles). I have seen one of the new kiosks, but the unit wasn't on. Idiots!

Holy Crap!!! Screw Mario and Sonic at the Olympics! This is the fight we've been waiting for. Can we maybe get a sonic sidekick, like Tails or Knuckles?

I wouldn't use it as a weather device if its anything like mine. I'm lucky if mine updates the weather every 12 hours.

I don't know what it was for, but it reminded me of the Wii problems. two guys are playing a baseball game on a PS2-esque system. one starts moving the controller, and the player on the screen is moving the bat. he tells his buddy to pitch like real life, and he pelts the controller at the TV, which causes the LCD/Plasma tv to fall off the wall and crash through the glass table below. Anyone see this, or know where I can view it again?

BlacknMild, i was wondering the same thing. It says that the game is all-platform, but only lists PS3 and 360

UERD, that is so true. PSP would have been the nail in the coffin for the DS, had they not went primarily as a portable movie player.

You are bringing up good memories for me. I was about 6 when the Game Gear came out. I saved every dollar I got so I could buy one (for a six-year-old, I still think that was impressive). When I got it, I played it every day. I was a platform gamer, mostly sonic. I would remember when I my cousin would come over for the weekend, we would exchange systems for the weekend. I would get my gameboy fix, which was ok (couldn't stand the green-scale). I brought that system on family vacations for a number of years, until I got my gameboy pocket in 1998. I still have mine today (sitting under the bed I am sitting on right now). I whip it out from time to time, but I mostly play my DS for a handheld. I almost wish someone would release a gamegear slim. Uses all the game carts, but has a modern screen and uses fewer batteries. If they released something I could tote around with me with ease and not blow my cash on batteries, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Kairon, the ones you mentioned aren't what I am talking about. I remember I just came across the website for the skins I'm talking about out of no where. the ones I am talking about are mono-colored, no bumps or raised areas, and are seamless (one single molding, not two pieces)
