Then you're the only one.

Anyway, the game is looking great and I can't wait to see it in motion.

By the way, why is this thread titled "Rogue Leader", when the game isn't called that? RL was the title of the 2nd Rogue Squadron.

I've stumbled upon some high-res version of the screens;

All I know is that you Americans will probably just get lost with the rules. (Like us and NFL )
If this is successful, then I'd expect Cricket to be the next game to go overseas...

Nintendo Gaming / pn03 ratings from famitsu
« on: March 19, 2003, 11:01:58 PM »
Pretty mixed scores there. A nine, two 7's and 8. Famitsu's scores are usually pretty similar across the board, but still, the game sounds good to me.

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda / Metroid could they save gcn in aus?
« on: March 19, 2003, 12:10:30 AM »
I'm hoping the game does well, but with the way things are going I don't know what'll happen.
I guess it could follow the same pattern as all other high-profile GCN games - hit the top 5, or even #1, but the following week it'll drop to around 8th, and the week after that it won't be in the top 10 at all.
Obviously we'll have to wait and see how Nintendo promotes and advertises the game.

Just note that this is the AC version, and not the GCN version.

Still looks good though.

I don't know why people insist on getting a sequel to Goldeneye. The movie never got a follow up, so why should there be a follow up to the game?

And it was Rare who made the game what it is, not the brand name. And just in case you don't know, Rare is gone....

Nintendo Gaming / Metroid Prime - PAL Enhancements
« on: March 08, 2003, 02:20:54 AM »
Ok, so what are your thoughts on the new enhancements we're getting in Metroid Prime?
Just to refresh your memories;

Defeated enemies don't drop as many power-ups as the US version, stronger enemies, lose energy faster when you walk on Lava or Acid, some doors now require more shots to open like in Super Metroid, hint system is different - apparently it now takes 10-15 minutes longer for hints to appear when you're stuck, cut-scenes can be skipped once you've played through the game once, and some of the coolers ones -  speech for the intro movie, when you scan something and it's added to your log. More speech for when doors are either locked or unlocked, and for the ending of the game.

I think that since we've been waiting for so long, we deserve a little something, and I hope Nintendo continues this trend with their future titles.

Nintendo Gaming / DivX?

I thought Factor 5, the ones that developed DivX for GCN, were the first ones who are going to use it?!

Nintendo Gaming / More developers drop the GCN: and so what?
« on: February 16, 2003, 01:31:40 AM »
What's irritating about Codemasters cancelling all their GameCube support is that they never released a single GameCube game.
How on earth do they know their products would sell poorly? Sure GameCube isn't selling as good as the PS2, but it's going head to head with(if not beating) the xbox!

All they did was read that Sega's and EA's sports games weren't selling as good as those companies had hoped, and they jumped on the "Lets re-evaluate our GCN support" bandwagon!
It's just pathetic really.

And great post, by the way Gamebasher.

We'll probably see CMR4 though.

Yeah, I know he changed teams to Citreon, so that made me think about Codemasters cancelling the GCN version.
But still, the game isn't available in the US, so why not cancel those too?

Nintendo Gaming / Colin McRae Rally 3....?
« on: February 15, 2003, 01:43:06 AM »
Just wondering if anyone else is/was looking forward to this game?

I know that's it's officially meant to be coming to GameCube, but months have passed since both the PS2 and xbox releases, and yet not one single GCN screen.

Am I unaware that it's been cancelled or what? Can PGC dig anything up?

It's an official deal, like the one the US got. Buy a GCN, and get a free game.

PALGN reported this a few days ago.

Will this help GameCube sales?

Being a racing nut, I can't wait for this game! And considering the lack of good racing games on GCN, this will be more than welcome.

Nintendo Gaming / Whats up with 1080?
« on: February 12, 2003, 10:51:08 PM »
The game looks so average! Almost unfinished....
And the worst part is that the game is now finished.

Hopefully the gameplay will make up for the average visuals.

After extensively trying the xbox version, I'm really looking forward to the GameCube version!

Now I'm wondering what the GCN-GBA connection will have.

And I've just made a box-art for the GameCube version, which you can check out by clicking my sig.
