FIFA is NOT a simulation game. You're thinking of PES, those are the realistic football games, FIFA is more unrealistic and arcadey. PES has always been the better football series, every year going back 20 years the PES games were always better than the corresponding FIFA ones. Even to this day, PES is so so much more fun, more realistic, and the only downside has always been they don't have all the licenses to use real kits and stuff. But even in the PS2 days you could get a device that attached to your computer, download real team kits that fans made, stick it in your PS2 and upload them to the memory card so you can have all the real kits in the game. These days with consoles all being online, this is much easier to do these days. And on the PC version of the PES games it's even easier still. People create entire leagues that aren't in the game and add them to it, for say if you want the Brazilian league or something, someone out there has made it for you. So the only downside to PES isn't really much of a downside anymore
