Don't know if this has been hit on in another thread but congrats to Mr. Metts for getting the big shout-out in Billy's editorial in the new E.G.M.
If you haven't checked out the new issue, get on it.
Keep the dream alive.

Congrats guys. Great title for the cast. What was that outro song? Sound familiar but can't place it.

Oh Young Plumber don't you see that the reason people would want to play Golden Sun is to get ready for the new one. Kinda like re-watching Police Academy 4 before part 5 came out.

Reason 2: It's cheap and easy to find.

Reason 3: We all need a little sunshine to brighten our day.

Just tried to download from itouch (which I always do) and it said it wouldn't play on my ipod. Is this because I updated to os4?

That was one of the most interesting video game interviews I've ever heard. Just checked the dates and saw that they are scheduling a trip to Atlanta so it looks like daddy may be getting a late Father's Day gift.

Was I right about composer popularity becoming a possibility? At any rate, my wife still laughs at me if I put on Super Mario Galaxy's soundtrack. But where I teach the students love it.

Good Stuff. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the minute. My Twitter feed was blowing up yesterday. Neal and James sound like complete polar opposites. Makes for some good laughs. Would love to hear some of Greg's thoughts on the conference. I'm assuming you watched online Greg?

Also, I love how Reggie let everyone experience 3D without the glasses before those same people headed over to Sony's conference only to receive glasses at the door. I wonder if there was a leak about what Sony had planned and Nintendo knew they had to get the 3DS into peoples hands before they left the show. Brilliant!

As someone who owns all the systems I must say Nintendo blew me away. I felt like a giddy 10 year old again watching that conference.

Great Cast Guys.
Good to have Greg back in the mix.

Johnny I'm not trying to burst your bubble but I quit FF13 after hour 16 where I was still running down corridors into the same ol' battles. The battle system is good but after getting all of it around hour 6 then tacking on 10 more hours of these battles I just let it go. Don't get me wrong, I liked the story and would love to hear a spoiler on what happens to Pulse but I just got fed up.
Just my opinion and if you are the patient type maybe you will love the game.
Has anyone beat the game? And how long does it take to "open up" as some have said. I've heard anwhere from 20 - 40 hours.
And what does "open up" actually mean?
*No spoilers here please*

Speaking of which, has anyone ever laid eyes on Greg or is he just some British mystery man?

Did anyone film/pics from the RFN panel. You know, for those of us that weren't there.

Can't wait for the PAX cast.
It occurred to me while listening this week that everyone at PAX, no matter what they are into playing now (MW2, L4D, or ME2), was at some time an eight year old sitting in front of the T.V. playing a Nintendo in some form or fashion. So no matter what booth you are eager to check out or what next gen motion controls you are rooting for one thing is certain: everyone at that convention center has Nintendo to thank for getting them there. Kum bay ya.

Also. I had no interest in Monster Hunter Tri. I went to Gamestop yesterday to trade in a game and saw the demo display and grabbed one. The guy tried to get me to pre-order and I used Johnny's line from the podcast about the press release. Thanks Johnny.

Got home and I was floored at how much I enjoyed it. It is hard as hell and the 20 min time limit doesn't seem long enough to take a monster down. The controls are weird but once I figured them out I kind of got into it. So ironically I will be going back to that guy and giving him my pre-order money.  (I'm such a push-over.)

Rob.

P.S. Greg, thanks for the awesome editing. I love how much work you put into making the cast top-notch. I can't tell you how many times I've used the chapter feature to jump around. I wish every podcast put in that kind of work.

Johnny if you like Shiren and you are a fan of Final Fantasy you should pick up Final Fantasy Chocobo's Dungeon. It's a rogue with a F.F. setting and story. Don't let the fact that you are a Chocobo throw you off. It's actually a very decent game.

Puzzle Quest 9.0/10

If the story were a bit more tied together I would give this game a perfect score. The puzzles are engaging, the level up system which takes advantage of the mana you collect while playing puzzles is innovative. And the tone of the game immerses you in an ancient, old-world RPG setting which is made perfect by the soundtrack.

A must have for fans of Dragon Age, Bejeweled/Tetris/Peggle and Lord of the Rings.

Art Shmart. If people get so uspest by someone trying to define a word then is that word really relevant anymore. Art, like literature, is a relative term. James you should be commended for trying to pigeon-hole "art." Because no one wants to define art we get people using the bathroom on a canvas and somehow they are able to justify it as art. What a shame.
Let people who write be writers. Let people who paint be painters and let people who make games be game developers. Why do people have to be artists? It's when people call themselves artist that true pretention rises its head.

Great Show though. Save a seat at PAX for me.

Thanks T.Y.P.
And keep up the good work with the show. Quality stuff. I'm going back through the older episodes and I even got my wife listening (Even though she couldn't get Professor Layton and she had just played it the night before.)

Hello everyone.
New to the forums.
Thanks for reading my mail on soundtracks/scores and whatnot.

Question: Where is everyone getting their gaming music? Especially T.Y.P.

About the Wii and Gamecube software quality comparisons:
I checked Metacritic and Gamecube had 192 games that rated 75 or above (i.e. favorable games) while the Wii at the three year mark is only up to 125. That's a 70 game difference as far as critically acclaimed games are concerned. I know those numbers are relative but it is a good side-by-side comparison of how many quality games the two consoles pushed.

I do agree with Greg however and find that I'm pleased with the Wii. However I believe that it is due to Virtual Console and Wii Ware filling in places where the physical software has fallen flat.
