The Nintendo 3DS just turned 3! Remember when it was just a baby?

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/roundtable/36972/staff-sez-3ds-memories

Spring is here (supposedly) and the Nintendo 3DS has just turned 3 years old! What a week, what a week! In honor of the birthday system, I asked the staff to recall their fondest 3DS memories. Check out their responses!

What's your fondest 3DS memory? Let us know in the comments below!

Zachary "Launch Day" Miller

Neal coming to my house with a 3DS XL (for me to review) and both of us just standing, slack-jawed, at its enormosity. Although my wife going to Best Buy on launch day and getting me one and bringing it to the hospital, where I was at the time, was pretty legit.

J.P. "Midnight Release" Corbran

Going to the GameStop midnight launch event with a broken ankle, using my scooter thing to get around, and buying far too many launch games.

Andrew "Preorder Bonus" Brown

Narky answer: Nikki. Rest in Peace, Swapnote.Fanboy answer: When everyone noticed it wasn't a failure. Now it's Wii U's turn!Nostalgic answer: Discovering the secret Game Boy borders on Virtual Console games.

Bryan "Exclusive" Rose

Mega evolving the Charizard I've had since Fire Red (as in, nearly a decade) was pretty damn cool.

Zack "$5 Down" Kaplan

Putting over twenty hours into Pilotwings Resort.

Neal "First in Line" Ronaghan

StreetPassing. Also, the sheer joy of discovering certain games, namely Kid Icarus: Uprising, Etrian Odyssey IV, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, etc.

Addison "Third Dimension First Timer" Webb

Playing 3D Land for the first time and realizing it was the Mario Game I always wanted.

Alex "Launch Game" Culafi

Seeing 3D without glasses for the first time. Hot damn.

Danny "First Day Update" Bivens

The wacky videos with Japanese "idols" fighting each other, sometimes in a swimming pool.

Becky "No Glasses" Hollada

When I spent three days of a visit to Los Angeles trying to track down a copy of Fire Emblem: Awakening cause I didn't pre-order it, knowing I would be gone on release day. I ended up buying it from a Target on my way to LAX, an hour and a half before my flight. Worth it.

Justin "Line Around the Corner" Berube

Probably getting an invite at 1:00 am the day of an early morning 3DS pre-release press showing in New York City. Nothing like hauling ass to the city with no sleep, and barely making it, to view a Reggie presentation and to get some hands on time with the new handheld.Other than that, just the joys of StreetPassing. Such a great idea.

Kim "Ambassador" Keller

Not thinking I was going to have a 3DS for a while when out of nowhere Josh surprises me with a graduation gift and pays for half. He also immediately drove me out to a store to get it, pretty awesome day.

Aaron "Get Out of My Way!" Brown

Experiencing 3D without dumb glasses for the first time. I was amazed.

Daan "That Moment When You Turn It On For the First Time" Koopman

Playing Fire Emblem Awakening for the first time. Adore that game way too much at this point!

Honestly, it's waking up one morning, checking Twitter and finding out about the Ambassador program. I think I did an octuple-take.

Try to think of something else, but basically this.  I haven't really touched the NES games but the GBA group includes a lot of gems, several of which I never played.
