Namco Bandai and The Food Network team up to bring fun cooking to the Wii.

Thanks to the wide appeal of both the Wii and DS, the cooking simulator genre has been rapidly expanding. Some are intended to be games such as the Cooking Mama series on Wii and DS, while others hope to hone your real life cooking skills such as Personal Trainer: Cooking on the DS. With Cook or be Cooked! on the Wii Namco Bandai hopes to achieve both.

Through collaboration with The Food Network, Cook or be Cooked will feature over 30 real recipes that players can take to their kitchens while also playing through various challenges in-game. Mini judges pop in to offer tips and feedback on several dishes.

Cook or be Cooked! promises a lot of authenticity in its presentation. The game has been developed with Food Network Kitchens supervising its creation. Most importantly, Motion Plus will be used to replicate real motions used in the kitchen and bring depth to food preparation. All recipes can be played with another player in both co-op and competitive modes.

Food Network: Cook or be Cooked will be served this fall.
