No, it doesn't.  I assume that's the problem?

Nintendo Gaming / External Harddrive Issues on Wii U
« on: January 27, 2013, 05:50:41 PM »
I recently decided it was time to connect my HDD to my Wii U for storage space, as I prefer digital to physical.  I downloaded Darksiders 2 straight to the Wii and dear god that ate space up.  For reference reasons I'm using a toshiba branded 500 gig HDD.  After I plugged in and formatted the thing the Wii U started to act a bit wonky.  It's taking ages to exit a game to console menu through the home button, it takes evolutionary periods to go from the console menu to the settings and some games take about as long as the rise and fall of the roman empire to even load up.  These games aren't on the harddrive either, they're either on-disc or downloaded onto the Wii U.  If that wasn't enough everytime I load up Darksiders 2 the game weirds out on me.  I know Darksiders 2 is a bit buggy and glitch filled to begin with but this is just strange.  When I trotted my little green horse out into the open world section half of the map was just gone.  I figure maybe just part of the map hadn't "blimped" in yet and started to ride towards it. I hoped it would load or at least the textures might not have loaded.  Nope, I fell. And fell. And fell. And finally, fell some more. Until I got off the horse where death promptly died and took me back to the tree of life.  I rode out again and the process repeated.  It was like bad shampoo.  I unplugged the harddrive and everything runs fine.
Help me, Obi-Won.

I'm going to take a spectulative stab and say X/Y are going to be set in Europe or atleast a Europe inspired setting.  The background for pikachu looks like France, Pikachu's thunderbolt looks to come out of Europe and something looks like the Effiel Tower in the background of one of the locations.

Also, Froakie till I DIE.

I think using the gamepad as your "Hand" for card games is a fantastic idea.  It's so simple but I feel like it would very effective fro really replicated an actual card experience.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: The Wii Era Is Over. Thoughts?
« on: November 15, 2012, 12:58:48 AM »
I enjoyed it for the most part, but in all honesty the Wii hasn't really had any steam since Skyward Sword.  We haven't really had any notable games comes to VC in a while and the Wiiware has only had a handful of things.  I'm glad this era is over with.

Here's hoping they are all the maximum 30x play limit.

Can you bypass the play limit by deleting and redownloading?

Nintendo Gaming / Paid DLC coming to 3DS games starting in March.

-Fire Emblem 3DS to be the first title to use paid DLC
-3rd parties will follow
-WiiU planned to a similar setup

I honestly don't mind DLC as long as it's worth while and not coded on the disc already.  It'll be interesting how this is used for series like MarioKart and Smash Bros.

More third party! :D  Most definitely no pokemon talk which makes me sad.

If you have the equipment to connect SD cards to your computer you should be able to just copy everything on your current card to your computer, then plug in your new one and put it all on that. Once you've done that everything should show up when you put the new card in your 3DS.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work.  But I figured I should be able to pick "download later" and do it bulks at a time and nap!

Nintendo Gaming / SD Data Transfer
« on: December 24, 2011, 02:15:41 PM »
So, I received a some new SD cards as Christmas gifts (an 8 gig and 16 gig) and I'd like to use one of them for my 3DS.  But, is there anyway to transfer all my data to a new SD card without re-downloading everything?  I have a good many eShop titles and really don't want to spend 2 hours re-downloading everything.

It's a fun little app, although I wish I could be alerted to messages while playing a game.  But hey, this is better than jack.

One Christmas my parents gave my little brother and I both Gameboy Colors and Pokemon Red and Blue.  It was GLORIOUS.  Perfect matching presents and the best way to get us to shut up.

Name will show up as Spencer.
I need 3DS friends. FOREVER ALONE.

I give them 3 options:

-F-Zero
-StarFox
-New IP

I'd also love to see Retro develop an exclusive first party online FPS for Nintendo. Something the west market would eat up.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Maximum Number of Games /UI design defect?
« on: December 17, 2011, 08:57:44 PM »
So, the UI isn't coded to expand automatically?  While this is nintendo's best interface to date, you think they'd listen when people complained about running out of channel windows on the wii..

Personally I'd like  the ability to organize your games/apps somewhat like how the eShop is set up. Where you could select a slot and have many slots within selected slot.  You could organize your apps/games by game or genre or system or  whatever.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: RUMOR: 3DS GBA Ambassador Games Announced?

I'd be cool with getting rid of Mario Kart Advance as well, as I never liked it a whole lot.  Actually I never enjoyed any of the 2D Mario Karts.

Would have enjoyed a Pokemon game, but that's a strange situation.  By giving out FireRed/LeafGreen you run the risk of losing some potential buyers if Pokemon Red/Blue is released on the VC (which, why wouldn't it?).  If they give away Ruby/Sapphire nintendo, in their warped view of the world could see it biting into the remakes which we know are coming. :P
