TalkBack / Re: Legendary Eleven (Switch) Review

Pretty harsh review in my opinion

First off, i agree with the kits not standing out, making it hard to distinguish your players from the opposing teams. This could be solved simply by providing alternate kits for all teams and let us choose

Not sure that not being able to run into a player and steal the ball without pressing a button is such a big deal. Plenty of old arcade titles did it that way and honestly, how hard is it to press Y?

As for the passing, it works fine for an arcade title. This doesn't try to be Fifa so i'm not expecting Fifa style passing and defending. That would go directly against the arcade nature of the game. Also, using through balls creatively opens up for far more options than just passing directly to a player. A nice touch is the circle with arrows on the player controlling the ball, which makes it easy to tell what directions are feasible to pass at

You also completely neglected to mention the charge meter that builds via a string of successful passes and dribbles, enabling super shots. I kinda like the shooting mechanics because rather than have some behind the scenes math determining shot power and accuracy, you decide if you want extra power but risk getting tackled before unleashing the shot. The pre match cards are also strangely missing from this review. They allow you to customise your team through various bonus and more cards can be unlocked by winning the cups. Seems like something that should at least be mentioned in passing in a review

I can't relate at all to not feeling in control of my players. How are you not in control? The only thing i can think of is after stealing the ball, where there is an annoying delay where you can't pass but other than that, i always feel like i'm in control of the ball

Finally, complaining about different teams having different strengths seems uhm...ridiculous. This has been a staple of footy games since forever and it wouldn't make any sense if Argentina weren't better than Egypt. Come on now

It is rough around the edges but as i understand it, it's still in early access mode on Steam so that's to be expected and i'm sure things will be tweaked and content will be added down the line

Personally i'd rate it a 6 or 7. It's a nice change of pace from Fifa
