"Would anyone have an example of a "perfect game"? "

Metroid Prime. hands down the best game out there. halo comes very close though.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Younger gamers and the gaming industry

i have been around for a while. i got started playing games on the atari 2600 with "river raid". i enjoy it to this day. but my point is. the cube isnt really that popular amongst adults either. the only demographic it really appeals to is the family groupings. or the ones who dont want to spend extra money on another console. it just boils down to game selection nowadays. people who come in my store go, gamecube? it doesnt have that many games. they then glance at the ps2 section and say "now i have a great selection har har"

i hated fusion. even if it wasnt a metroid game, i would still hate it. it strayed way too far from the metroid formula

i think multiplayer in metroid might stand a chance. i am a purist about metroid, but in this day and age, anything goes.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Game Cube will have online gaming in 2003-2004?

i doubt very much that the cube will go online.

rebecca romijn stamos would make a perfect samus in a full live action movie. she's silent and deadly, just watch the x-men films when she plays mystique.

umm, to the man who stated the amount of space an SNES cartridge could hold, you are way off. the biggest super nintendo game was 64 megabits. i can recall that donkey kong country and super street fighter II were both 32 megabits. i used to watch video game commercials all the time when i was younger in the super nintendo days and they loved stating the amount of space on a cartridge at the time. oh and super metroid was 24 megabits.
as to the subject, the cube disc could still easily hold all of the games you mentioned. it would be quite cool, as long as the mario kart version they use is in fact the super nintendo version and not the sucky N64 version.

the ps2 acts just like a dvd player, it has 2 different lasers for reading CD's and DVD's.

i like the notion of it being multiplayer where other players control the ghosts.
