I lost all my lives on a hungry luma level, and I can't seem to get back to it. Is there any way to revisit that stage?

The Wii will probably have a lifespan of about 5 or so years. We're only about 5 months in. If, for some reason, you don't think there are any worthwhile games on the Virtual Console yet, I'm sure at least one will come in the next 220 or so VC Mondays we have left.

And people have lost a lot more than $5 on games they bought and didn't like, so I think you're doing alright. Maybe retro gaming just isn't for you.

(BTW....if you were being sarcastic, then I'm sure it still applies to a few other people. I can necer tell with the sarcasm on this board anymore!!)

Anyone know if they have these gamer cards in Canada?

Quote

I prefer to think of them as consoles that rhyme with "Run DMC," but to each his own.

Nice.

EDIT: according to their website they do have gamer cards in Canada. I'll try to find out if we get the coupons too.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:whatever happened to Elcktroplankton?
« on: January 16, 2007, 10:18:28 AM »
Elektroplankton was sold exclusively online. Some sonline outlets shifted copies to their physical store locations, which is why copies of the game were showing up at EB.

I was lucky enough to find a complete used copy at Blockbusters for $20 a few months ago. Rental chains may still sell their copies, so keep your eyes open!

Note to collectors, games released through limited channels (Pokemon Box comes to mind)are likely going to be tough to obtain down the road. So if you want it, don't hesitate!

Nintendo Gaming / Wii Online

Alright, sorry if this has been discussed, but I can't find it.

Can the DS USB adaptor get the Wii online? Or will a separate one be needed?

That's not necessarily true, given the number of people who will buy the console just to resell it.

There are going to be many, many people buying a Wii but not Zelda. They're called scalpers. If you're curious about them, this site has plenty of information on tehm: www.ebay.com

This is great news, as I spent a chunk of my life addicted to Mario's Picross. Unfortunately, I doubt this will come out in North America.

I don't care about those other games, I just want picross! I was addicted to the Gameboy game they put out here and I would kill for some new puzzles!

NCL has both of those games on a list for 2007. I can't imagine either of them would come out in Japan and not the US.

No way the nunchuck is sold separately.

It's included in the box, of course they will sell extras, like they do any controller

The classic contrller seems to be reasonably priced.

Personally, I doubt there will be a second controller packed in the US. Let's hope I'm wrong!

What is with everyone talking about the "mainstream gamer". Seriously, I can understand being upset if the console is too expensive for you now and you can't afford. But why are we worried about the 'mainstream gamer' and popular perception?

Look, Nintendo is a company that makes money. Lots of it. Billions of them. They are a profitable company, and will continue to be so, even with the wii. And as long as they continue to make money, they will keep making the games we love. Regardless of whether they are number one or number three.

Sunday is an odd day for any product launch...

Nintendo typically releases hardware on Sundays. Even as recently as the DS Lite.

I never thought it would come out in October but I sure as heck didn't think it would come out on 19th where it will be overshadowed by PS3 and for 250$ too.

Honestly it doesn't really matter which comes out first. There will be so few PS3s out there that the Wii will sell more regardless. It could come out in December and easily sell more.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Canadians, it's Pre-Order Time!
« on: July 16, 2006, 09:23:56 AM »
meh, it's not the games I'm worried about, it's the system! The games usually aren't too tough to come by.

Anyone who wants to pre-order from TRU Canada, keep in mind, it is for a bundle. You'll have to get two games and an extra controller. Which is fine, except I'm not sure if they choose the games or you do. I've been asking clerks at TRU and getting mixed answers.

Did you get the US version? Does it include recipes or teach you how to cook in 'real life', or is it all just a game?

Are these new or used....I was at eb on Jun 21 and bought a used copy of VJ2 :P  I even saw the $9.98 copies, I just assumed they were used.  But I wondered why my copy was $15 (I got it for the 2/$20).

Anyways, thanks for the list, I know I'll be back!!
