I hate to say it, but this could be good for Nintendo.

I'll bring in a quote from Robin Hood:  Men in Tights -

Simply put, this means that, Nintendo, being all about their money, will wise up and say "Hey!  Maybe we should do something!  Otherwise, we won't get no mo' rolls."  Though, I am certain that this isn't the first time Nintendo missed their mark.

Let's just hope that this teaches them a nice lesson.

Nintendo Gaming / Pikmin 2 and Mario 128 in 2003!

Like Koopa Troopa said, the "128 Marios" demo is not the same thing as Mario 128.  The demo was shown at the unveiling of GameCube during SpaceWorld.  Nintendo wanted to illustrate the GameCube's power by showing 128 Marios acting independently, all at the same time, with a (from what I remember) really stable framerate.

What 'roid said is also true, to some extent.  Shiggy did express interest in making the next Zelda game non cel-shaded.  So, if you think that makes it more mature (I don't necessarily think so), then the next Zelda will be more mature.
