Am I the only one who is really into Mr. Game and Watch this time around? I can't say I'm incredible with him (I haven't quite mastered his down special:"Oil Spill" for one thing) but I seem to play best as him. I also find myself cycling between Peach, Diddy, Wolf, Kirby and Pokemon Trainer.

There's no satisfactory explanation for why this picture of myself exists. It just does.

Just thought I'd drop into the thread with that.

My God!. . . This poll has forced me into acknowledging my debilitating meth addiction. It seems that I. . .I've gotta turn my life around.

Regarding Brawl, I got sick of it after about 5 minutes. Worse than Giest.

I'm still reeling over the awesomeness of the Electroplankton Hanebrow stage. Am I the only one blown away by this bit of slightly esoteric brilliance?!

HOLY %@$#!

Sorry. . . It's just that I almost puked from the unexpected awesomeness of the Electroplankton stage. Seriously!

I am SO happy right now.

Heh, yeah. . . that is a sad sort of irony when Ganondorf gets a cloned moveset and R.O.B. has a unique one. Err, at least I can't imagine who he would be a clone of, but stranger things have happened. Watch, ROB will be a clone of Snake!

I dunno, the stickers, trophies, and R.O.B. sound pretty cool.

EDIT: Especially R.O.B.

Let me first say that I understand that many of you are pretty passionate about this and I'm not completely without sympathy. But seriously, we are all looking at an incredible roster. If there is any complaint to be made at all, it would be that we were already told some of the best surprises.

Can you imagine what all of your responses would have been if the full roster had been leaked before we learned so much from the Smash Dojo?

Mario
Donkey Kong
Link
Samus/Zero suit Samus
Kirby
Fox
Pikachu
Marth
Mr. Game and Watch
Luigi
Diddy
Zelda/Shiek
Pit!
Metaknight!
Falco
Pokemon Trainer!
Ike!
Solid Snake!
Peach
Yoshi
Ganondorf
Ice Climbers
King Dedede!
Lucario!
Ness
Sonic the Hedgehog!
Bowser
Wario!
Cell Shaded Link! (which I think is bitchin')
R.O.B.!
Captain Olimar!
Captain Falcon
Lucas!
And what, we think. . . Jigglypuff and Wolf!, right? I'm no stalwart fanboy and I can be pretty critical. . . but damn! Brawl seems amazing in every respect and looks to be delivering almost everything I've wanted from the series (and some things I didn't even realize I want, like the stage builder). Have fun bitching about Ganondorf being a clone and all, but just don't forget the big picture here.

This is not news.

. . . It's also not really neat and has me surprised, curious and/or excited.

I thought it was apparent he's an assist trophy. . . In any case, if you ever wonder about that sort of thing you can view the updates by category. Andross is in the Assist Trophy tab of the Item section.

And yeah, retro Andross is a neat update. Personally though I actually kinda think the curry was the more interesting update as far as gameplay goes.

What I want to know is, assuming Sonic is in. . . how do you make a good Sonic stage?

I've no idea.

I've been thinking. . . The Animal Crossing player character has an alright move-set built in. My quick ideas include: shovel whack, The bug net might be similar or perhaps you briefly catch your opponent and fling them out, Grab with fishing pole (like Link's hookshot), stun with wardrobe change, might have something like a tree sprouting up in front of them, possibly throw letters for a weak ranged attack, or instead you could pull furniture and the like out or your pockets to throw. . . and let us not forget the Axe.

C'mon Animal Crossing player character!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Ubi Soft teaches girls how to be women.
« on: August 08, 2007, 08:31:02 AM »
I will say that I'd barely notice any one of these games if not for their combined power. And yes, there isn't anything explicitly sexist about the concept. Undoubtedly we're looking at stereotypical gender roles but not necessarily negative ones. I just think anytime you're generalizing the interests of half the world it seems a bit obscene and unfortunately, the three topics highlighted can come across as male-pleasing-centric. It's very easy to imagine (even if it's not very likely) it being mishandled and made extraordinarily sexist.

Subject: Re: Imagine series/sarcasm

Hi, I thought I would get in touch with you in regards to Ubisoft's upcoming Imagine series for the Nintendo DS. I'm sure you are busy so I'll get to the point. I'm very pleased to see Ubisoft making an effort to put women in their place. Making and caring for babies, doing their best to keep up their physical appearance and cooking meals for us men is exactly what women should be doing and I'm glad to see Ubisoft reinforcing these fundamentals while they are young. It's thanks to initiatives like this that the impressionable young women of today will one day be the loyal, sexily-clothed, meal-preparing, baby factories of tomorrow.

(also I like it when they figure-skate)

Thank you and I look forward to Imagine: Getting Out of the Way and Shutting Up Because your Husband is Very Busy.

Yeah, saw this earlier. My first reaction was to laugh considerably. . . and then the more I thought about it I just got annoyed and incredulous.

This is AMAZING! I mean is this really going to go allowed to go through!?

Babies, fashion and cooking. Wow.

Behold the madness of nipple zooms and the guitar playing bear! Just try and figure out what it has to do with a piece of DS software published by SEGA centered around mood sensing voice recognition!

Kokoro Scan!!!

At about 1min 5sec it'll have found a small home in your brain that it will never abandon.

Yeah I understand they cleaned up some of the buggyness for the North American release, but as I understand it, the core gameplay was crap anyways.
