Just want to thank you guys for giving me suggestions on games for kids. Been busy and just recently got around to listening to the show.


I went out and bought a used gamecube controller. I miss the wave bird, I knew I should have bought a couple of those when the gamecube was on it's way out it was the best controller ever. I settled for a regular black GC original.  I also bought a few games i either hadn't played yet or don't own anymore and loved. Kirbys air ride, mario kart DD (had played but never owned) Burnout and SSB, I just couldn't help myself on that last one. I don't own it anymore and figured I should.


Heard pretty good things about the kirby game and figured I'd give it a try. Tried to pick up windwaker, but none in stock. Guy at the counter said it was selling for $40 bucks used and just recently dropped to $20. I really wanna snag a copy of that. Loved that game.

yeah, I figured it's a bit much too. Thats why I added the gamestop employee's not knowing what they are talking about half the time comment.

But still maybe they are getting a larger shipment they normal and the number was just inflated to 100 by the employee or my friend...either way it might be worth giving your local store a call if you want one or know a friend that wants one, since they are such a pain in the ass to get ahold of.

Friend of mine was told by gamestop yesterday that they will be getting somewhere in the ballpark of 100 Wii's this week. Just a heads up for anyone still looking to pick one up. Could be a large shipment coming over the next week, atleast here in Louisville Ky.

Might be bogus might not be, but can't hurt to call your local store and ask. Not that the people they have working know what they are talking about half the time. lol

I really hope this doesn't mean they are not going to be making another F_zero game for the Wii, I loved that game. I didn't think it had done all that bad here in the US.

I don't think PC-ish would really be all that bad. the wii-mote and nunchuck are better suited to it then the other consoles.

I do agree the graphics are a little mah, and I haven't played the demo. But I think I'll stay a tad optimistic along with Kairon and hope for the best. I'm not expecting much, but a new genre of game on wii can't hurt.

Bought Blackhand a bit after launch and I love it. Graphics a bit on the dull side but the controls make up for it.

If you are at all interested in this game you should pick it up or atleast rent it.

EA has actually stepped up to the plate with some of the games they make. A lot more then I can say for some developers cough:Ubisoft:cough

Downhill Jam was fun for a while and since it's free ya might have a good time with it. I thought medal of honor was a better FPS then Call of duty was so I'd say skip on CoD.

I haven't played any of the marvel games though so..can't say there.

Nintendo Gaming / Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars for wii

Just read that Call For Heroes: Pompolic Wars Is headed to wii, started off as a PC title that was supposed to be out late last year, seems to be pushed to June for PC and 4Q for the wii.

From the screeens it looks like it could be a good fit for wii, if nothing else maybe open up the doors for more games of the genre. Just hope it's not a watered down pc port and actually has some decent controls/graphics.

BTW been a fan of the site for a long time, love the podcast as well. Keep up the good work!!
