It sucks that the game is unplayable for lefties and all, but wouldn't it make sense for somebody right-handed to review the game instead? This review is pretty much useless for 90% of the population because we aren't going to have the same difficulties controlling the game that the reviewer had.

Capacitive styli require wide tips for the screen to read them properly. A fine tipped styli like the one that comes with the DS/Wii U won't work on them.

You're arguing against facts here. A resistive screen can read input at each pixel. Capacitive screen can only read input over a large area. Many of Nintendo's touchscreen focused games take full advantage of this and would be impossible to play on a capacitive screen. (See Kirby: Canvas Curse for the biggest example.)

The amount of pressure needed for a resistive screen to read input is minimal. The more advanced WarioWare minigames, which require you to flick or rub the screen, all work perfectly with a gentle flicking or rubbing motion.

The reviewer is dead wrong about the controls being inferior to capacitive touchscreen controls. Capacitive touchscreens are much less precise than resistive screens. Resistive screens can detect where they're being touched down to the exact pixel, while capacitive screens can only detect that they're being touched in a large area, making them far less accurate. Many of the minigames in WarioWare Touched require pinpoint accuracy and would be difficult, if not impossible, to complete reliably without the precision of a resistive touchscreen. I'm sorry that the reviewer wasn't able to notice that.

It feels like the reviewer was unnecessarily harsh on the game because he wanted it to be something else entirely. Reading the review tells me nothing about how the game compares to other time trial based racing games, it only tells me that the reviewer hates racing games where you aren't competing directly with other racers. I personally enjoy these types of games, so this review is worthless to me. You should have given the review to somebody who played the previous AiRace games, or was at least open to the concept.

Mega Man X didn't come out at around the same time as Mega Man 7, it was almost two years earlier. It actually came out before Mega Man 6!

I'd be more interested in this if the 3DS was powerful enough to handle Wii ports without compromises. It's extremely unlikely that the 3DS version of DKC is going to manage the same framerate as the Wii version.

What kind of comment is that? Just because the Wii is at the end of its life, doesn't mean that the console was lacking in spirit or excitement. Especially when you compare it to the alternative consoles, which delivered nothing but boring FPS games with ugly colorless graphics and stagnant control schemes.

Disagree 100% on the full rotation levels. I had no issues controlling them whatsoever and I found that the puzzles they contained were far more unique and inventive than the partial rotation levels, which felt like they were rehashed from the first game.

I just thought I'd chime in and add that the Rabi Laby games for DSiware are two of the best games available on the eshop. They're puzzle-platformers which involve controlling two characters, each with a distinct set of abilities, and using them in tandem with each other in order to clear the levels. The games have the perfect level of difficulty for a puzzle-platformer; they won't make you tear your hair out but they're still challenging enough to feel rewarding. They also have time trials which are highly addictive. Anybody who's into puzzle platformers should check them out!

Dual analog is a pretty terrible control method, all things considered. You simply don't have the same degree of control in your thumbs as you do in your hands or your wrist, which is why mice/wiimote/touchscreen/tilt controls obliterate joystick controls for anything requiring precision. It's also hugely inconvenient having to constantly move your right thumb back and forth between the face buttons and the unnecessary second joystick.

I don't think this review is unfair -- if the reviewer is someone who only enjoys games that feature a constant stream of in-your-face action, then he's probably not going to enjoy the soothing, atmospheric, slower-paced experience that this game provides -- but to suggest that it would be "preposterous" for somebody who likes these types of games to give it a 10/10 shows a lack of understanding of/respect for other peoples' opinions.

I didn't say that. I said it'd be preposterous to fall asleep during a physics-based platformer. I said I don't see how it could get a 10/10, but that's not me saying that person is wrong or anything. It's just me saying I disagree, which is also what that person would say if they read my review.

Also, considering my review highlights how the atmosphere was my favorite part, I'm not sure how you can say I only enjoy in-your-face action games.

Did you read the review?

I didn't say that you only enjoy in-your-face action games, I said that somebody who does probably isn't going to like this game. Considering your review highlights how the laid-back gameplay taking a back seat to the atmosphere was your main criticism, the only conclusion I can draw is that these types of games simply don't appeal to you.

Wha... huh? The rhythm minigames were the best part of the game by far! They controlled perfectly (yes, even the gyro-controlled games if you know what you're doing), and had tons of diversity along with great, catchy music, which made them a blast to replay. Clearly this reviewer is missing something.
