TalkBack / RE: Shining Force GBA Game Released
« on: June 09, 2004, 07:56:04 PM »
The game's really close to the Genesis version... infact I haven't noticed much change at all. The only think I can notice is that they've added more story elements to it, and cards. Still haven't figured out the cards yet though.

Am I the only one who remembers the Gameboy Camera, or that knows about webcam games? Really, I can play the same things that Eye Toy has right here with my webcam, and Ninty's already made a videogame camera.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Classic NES titles In Store
« on: June 06, 2004, 11:09:30 AM »
WallOfDoom, carts are expensive to make, so that's where most of the cost is comming from. Yeah, they could have easily put the whole first series on one cart and slapped a $30 price tag on it, but Nintendo knows people will pay the full $20 for the game. The only downside to our Classic series is that they arn't as collectable as the Famicom Mini series. If we had the same bells and whistles at Japan got, I'd pry pick up the whole line, but as of now I'm only getting Zelda.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Connectivity?
« on: June 05, 2004, 11:28:06 AM »
I seem to remember something about the DS having 802.11 along with Nintendo's own wireless technology... Maybe their own technology is the same thing they put to use on the GBA?

Remember that IQue thing Ninty launched in China though? I wonder how that's doing...

And actually, the piracy in China lands roms on the net, and roms on the net cause losses world wide.

Oh well $200 is still better than PSP prices.

It didn't give a price point, but I'm willing to bet on $100-$150. I just can't see Nintendo launching a handheld for $200...

drkstar... that's really not Nintendo's style though. They had the chance to snap up Sega, and even Silicon Knights, and passed on it.

haha, yup.

Grr... this is frustrating though. I mean, with RARE we at least got a good reason why they got sold. But we don't have a solid reason as to why SK would leave Ninty... they seemed pretty happy there.

"or marketing for ED2 like MC and Ian said, but i'm not feeling to confident right now."

*cough* Actually, I do belive I was the first one to suggest that . around page 3, 4, or 5. But it was a joke. Although... it would be brilliant to build some hype around their name...

Unless those buisness related things cause mass hysteria among your fanbase. Then they need to come and do some damage controll, big time, if they want us to calm down.

Oh if this turns out to be some 'clever' marketing scheme for ED 2, I'm going on a killing rampage.

I happen to be a fanboy too. A currently VERY confused fanboy. I want answers, and I would like them NOW. At least with RARE we got some advanced notice, and a reason as to WHY they were going right away. If this happens to be Nintendo's move, I doubt I'll buy their next system. Maybe it'll be better for them to loose money, and wake up from the daze they've been in since Sony came in and took their industry away.

I'm happy I held off on getting an SP now! Of course, I had a feeling after the Famicom Mini series in Japan we were gonna get the same kinda thing...

I wonder if Gamestop's taking reservations on these yet?

TalkBack / RE:Majesco Adds 4KIDS to GBA Video Line-Up
« on: March 12, 2004, 08:28:53 AM »
Actually, they could pry fit in 3 eps, depending on what all they put on the cart. most cartoon eps arre about 20-25 minutes, and the carts can hold up to 90 minutes of video.

I'm considering buying the TMNT carts, but it all depends if it's released like the DVD's (eps 1,2, and 3 on a cart and so on), and how much it costs. There's no way i'm gonna pay 30 bucks for one of these things, but 15-20ish woulden't be bad.

Yep. I have a lot of friends who are just now getting Eternal Darkness 'cause they can pick it up for 20. Naturally they're kicking them selves for not getting it sooner.

I know, but one of the cool things about the Japanese carts are the little boxes they come with, that are smaller versions of the old NES boxes.

I think they should release a pack of all the games, each on their own car in a little box inside the bigger box, for 30-40 bucks. I'd say that's pretty reasonable.

I'm gonna get this GBASP though...  I've been putting off getting one for a while now, and now I have a good reason to. That and SMB3.

DevAdvocate, if you read the response from Japanese developers about the DS... lets just say their heads are already churning out ideas for it.
