Nintendo has announced the upcoming Mario Tennis Ultra Smash will feature online play and Amiibo support.

A recent fact sheet from Nintendo confirmed that the November 20 release will have support for online in both Mega Matches and standard tennis. Doubles matches will be supported with two players on the same Wii U, or with an Amiibo partner.

The Amiibo support allows for Mario-family Amiibo to be leveled up in a similar fashion to Super Smash Bros, and can be used in the game's difficult Knockout Challenge mode. The compatible Amiibo are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Rosalina, Bowser, Toad, Wario, Donkey Kong and Yoshi (including the Yarn Yoshi).

Maybe they'll make some more Amiibo's in this line; Waluigi, Daisy, Donkey Kong and Rosalina to name a few.

I'm not a huge Amiibo guy, but I would absolutely buy a Waluigi one if they made them.

This still just looks like an HD version of the 3DS game, basically.
