Assassinate Sonic by any means necessary.
Pirates are abound on the Wii U with the release of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. Cover your kid's eyes because these pirates are a bit more violent then the ones found in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Besides death and mayhem, Sonic's new game is coming out too.
Wii U
Angry Birds Star Wars, October 29 - $49.99
If I know the Nintendo fan community, I know they hate Angry Birds. The irrational fear of the evil poultry comes from the even more irrational fear of Nintendo being doomed because of smartphones. Despite the moaning and groaning, Angry Birds Star Wars is coming to the Wii U this week and it's Wookiee-ing to be a fun game albeit, very expensive.
Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, October 29 - $59.99
Since Ubisoft has delayed Watch Dogs, their biggest game of the year is the new Assassin's Creed title. Following the adventures of Haytham Kenyway's dad, Edward Kenway, you get to sail on the high seas of the Caribbean. Sadly, the Wii U version will not be getting any of the DLC support the other systems are receiving. While I plan on buying the PS4 version, forgive me Reggie but that has more features, this still looks like a lot of fun on the Wii U, and as always Off-TV play is a great.
Monster High: 13 Wishes, October 29 - $39.99
If you love Bratz but wished it was more paranormal, then this is the game you have been waiting for. It's a 3D platformer and it is scary good, see what I did there? I really can not speak to the quality of the game.
PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures, October 29 - $39.99
The popular Television series based on the timeless video game character has a tie-in game coming out. This 3D platformer features PAC-MAN and all his PAC-MAN-y friends.
Sonic Lost World, October 29 - $49.99
Sonic Lost World is a Wii U/3DS exclusive that has created a great schism among game reviewers. Our own Jared Rosenberg enjoyed the Wii U rendition, I did not feel the same way about the 3DS version.
Wii Fit U Meter, November 1 - $19.99
Wii Fit U is coming to the eShop for free this week, but to own the full version you have to buy the Wii Fit U Meter. A pedometer of sorts, it brings Wii Fit with you everywhere.
Wii
Angry Birds Star Wars, October 29 - $29.99
Same game, different platform, no HD. That is Angry Birds Star Wars on the Wii.
Monster High: 13 Wishes, October 29 - $29.99
A Wii version of the shocking system seller.
3DS
Angry Birds Star Wars, October 29 - $29.99
The 3DS version of Angry Birds Star Wars has 3D, is portable, and is $20 cheaper. This seems like the better buy.
Doodle Jump Adventure, October 29 - $29.99
Another smartphone classic is releasing on the 3DS this week. Doodle Jump Adventure is all the fun of Doodle Jump, but at a higher price. Why this wasn't just a eShop release? I have no clue.
Monster High: 13 Wishes, October 29 - $29.99
The third version of a ghoul adventure.
PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures, October 29 - $39.99
A PAC-MAN 2D platformer. I wonder if it will be as good as PAC-MAN 2: The New Adventures?
Regular Show: Mordecai & Rigby in 8-Bit Land, October 29 - $29.99
Another Cartoon Network TV show gets a game after last year's Adventure Time game. Like last week with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I really have no clue why this show is popular. Anyways, you can buy the game this week.
Sonic Lost World, October 29 - $39.99
I have played this game for a review and it sucks. Read my full thoughts here.
DS
Monster High: 13 Wishes, October 29 - $29.99
The fourth and final version of this spook-tacular game.
Doodle Jump Journey, October 29 - $29.99
Doodle Jump, but on the DS.
