Marvel and DC face off while the Wii U throws a party.

This week is absolutely loaded to the brim with retail game releases. Batman makes his 3DS debut and Wii U gets the ultimate Marvel game. Beyond that we have Deus Ex and a second Just Dance game coming out in October! To celebrate you can even gather up some friends and play Wii Party U!

Wii U

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut, October 22 - $49.99

Originally planned as a Wii U exclusive, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut releases this week. This Wii U version features GamePad integration and, according to our reviewer Curt, it's very good.

Just Dance Kids 2014, October 22 - $29.99

After the excitement that was Just Dance 2014 you would think Ubisoft would wait a little longer to release another game, but in the same month we are getting Just Dance Kids 2014. If you love to dance, you may want to check it out.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, October 22 - $49.99

The big LEGO game of this fall, Marvel Superheroes, just may be the largest LEGO title yet. Over 100 playable characters and an open-world LEGO New York make up a brick-tastic looking game.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge, October 22 - $29.99

Plankton's Robotic Revenge may not seem that interesting to most, but I think this game could be fun considering it has 4 player co-op. Even if it sucks, nothing is better then playing a bad game with friends.

Batman: Arkham Origins, October 25 - $49.99

The other super hero game this week, Arkham Origins, is the third game in the Batman Arkham series. While the Wii U version is $10 less then other consoles, it also lacks online multiplayer, but does include GamePad exclusive features. So this one may take some thought when deciding which console to get it on.

Wii Party U, October 25 - $49.99

Packed with a Wii Remote and GamePad stand, this mini-game collection has over 80 mini-games. There are also some interesting looking GamePad only games. While I may not be a fan of the mini-game collection genre, this should be good.

Wii

Just Dance Kids 2014, October 22 - $29.99

More dancing. We all wanted that right? Right? Anybody?

SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge, October 22 - $29.99

A joke of some sort, I am being forced to write about this SpongeBob game four times.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, October 22 - $29.99

Based on the current Nickelodeon series of the same name, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brings all the action and excitement of what can only be described as genetic mistakes to the Wii.

3DS

Hometown Story, October 22 - $39.99

Hometown story places you in a small town where you must run your grandmother's shop. If that doesn't sound exciting, I really don't know what is.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril, October 22 - $39.99

The handheld version of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has the subtitle Universe in Peril. Beyond that we don't actually known a lot about this version. I wouldn't expect an open-world New York City though.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge, October 22 - $29.99

SpongeBob is also making an appearance on the 3DS this week in the same game as on other platforms.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, October 22 - $29.99

You know I don't understand the appeal of the Ninja Turtles. I neither grew up with them or care to learn more about them, but despite that, the 3DS gets another licensed game and I have to tell you about it.

Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate, October 25, $39.99

The Batman Arkham series comes to the 3DS in Blackgate. Exclusive to handheld systems, Batman goes to Blackgate prison in an action packed side-scrolling Metroidvaina style adventure.

DS

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril, October 22, $29.99

The DS is getting some LEGO super hero action in what can only be assumed to be a downgraded version of the 3DS entry.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge, October 22 - $24.99

SpongeBob's final game this week. Yes, this game is coming out on every current Nintendo platform.

Anything look good this week? Be sure to come by next week for more game releases.

Talkback

You didn't grow up with the Ninja Turtles? What are you, sixty?

ShyGuyOctober 20, 2013

I was 11 when the cartoon debuted, so I was on the edge of being too old for the TMNT to have any impact on me. I appreciated them for what they were though.

Fatty The HuttOctober 21, 2013

Deus Ex is $49.99? Yikes. That is about $20 more that it ought to be, methinks.

You really should watch the Nickelodeon TMNT, though. Unlike the TMNT of my childhood, that one is actually good.

MetalMario2October 21, 2013

So was the 2003 TMNT show. At least until the last couple of seasons, when their budget ran out.

Wii Party U is fun, y'all. If you have the capacity for game-gatherings, give it a go. There's less Solo content, it seems, but even then it's fairly amusing.

azekeOctober 21, 2013

They should have discounted digital release of Wii Party U, because we're not getting WiiMote and that stand with it.

That's what stopping me from pre-ordering it right now.

Otherwise, i can't wait to play this game with my friends.
