Man, Capcom just does NOT discount Virtual Console games. Seriously, how many times do those Resident Evil games need to go on sale?

Well, granted,  Virtual Console titles almost NEVER go on sale.    I think the only publisher that ever does is, actually, Capcom.  And even then they are not particularly steep discounts.

I mean, is this a philosophical thing with Nintendo?  Because when Sony puts out some crappy arcade ports of Guerrilla War and Ikari Warrirors on sale for 99 cents, well, I can't click "add to cart" FAST ENOUGH.

This is what, the third straight year these games have all gone on sale? Who's going to buy them?

Mega Man Legacy Collection seems like a really good deal at that price. I've been waiting for the physical version to drop in price, but it might be better to go digital with a game like this anyway.

I've been thinking about getting D&D forever but keep putting it off.  I always assumed I would get it for the PS3 but now I realize since I now also own a Wii U I could get it here for cheap.  But then I remembered I have four controllers for the PS3 but only two for the Wii U.  So I guess the PS3 version is the one I'll still go with since the savings here isn't enough to offset the cost of extra controller purchases.  Oh well.

Anyway, new Wii U owners won't have had access to prior sales so why not put the same games on sale every year?  If you're putting a game on sale like this then clearly the bulk of the estimated sales have been made and you're just trying to get some impulse buys from stragglers and newcomers.

Ironically, there's a VC game on sale right now... and it's from Sega. Whenever Nintendo does a sale event, they pad the lineup with VC titles.

Granted, there's a few things I'd love to see discounted on VC (Final Fights, we were promised SSF2 Turbo Revival over Christmas and that didn't come to pass), but they're not needle-in-haystack rare.

I haven't seen the Mega Man Collection in Canada for less than $40 yet, so this is very tempting despite me having a strong preference for physical over digital.
