Capture a Fish, Win Fishing Resort

We're giving away two copies of Fishing Resort, all you need is a catch of your own fish.

NWR is giving away two copies of Fishing Resort, thanks to publisher XSEED Games. We quite liked Fishing Resort. We heaped praise on its mix of fishing and RPG mechanics, its attractive world, and its seemingly bottomless bait bucket of content.

In an effort to make this as easy as possible the rules of this contest are very simple. We want you to send a screenshot of a fish from a video game along with the name of the game in which you "caught" it.

That's it.

Our first winner will be chosen by how surprising or creative their choice of game was. If you send us a picture of fish from Fishing Resort you aren't going to win...but then you already have the game so you won already! If you found a fish in an unexpected title, say Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, you've got a good shot. We'll be pretty liberal with what constitutes a "fish," so feel free to get out there and search your game collection for a real winner. Of course, we're a Nintendo site, so the game has to be on a Nintendo system.

Our second winner will be chosen at random from all the remaining entries. However, in the case we receive many high quality entries this may be adjusted to either award prizes based entirely on judging or to pare down the number of entries that ultimately make it into the drawing, based on the same quality.

The Rules

1. To enter send us a screenshot (photographs of the screen will also be accepted) and the title of the game to contest(at)nintendoworldreport.com

2. The game in question must be on a Nintendo platform.

3. Deadline for entries is at 12:01 AM Eastern, February 1, 2012

4. Winners will be contacted by email. If they do not respond within 3 (three) days the prize will be awarded to someone else.

5. The first winner is chosen at the discretion of the judge (me) and is not open for review.

6. The second winner will be chosen via a computer-assisted random drawing.

7. In the event of multiple strong entries rule 6 may be altered to either pare down entries in the drawing to "good" (as judged by the criteria for rule 5) entries or may be foregone and the second prize issued directly to a winner based on quality (again, by rule 5 criteria).

8. The prizes are the North American version of Fishing Resort.

9. We will ship prizes to anywhere in North America.

10. All entries become property of Nintendo World Report to use without permission.

11. Nintendo World Report reserves the right to change the rules at any time, without advance notice.

Bonus - Check out some hints on how to  be successful at Fishing Resort from our friends at XSEED Games.

It certainly wouldn't be Super Mario 3D Land.

Hope there were some interesting submissions.

Will any of the entries be shared after winners are announced, or will that left up to the people who entered the contest?  I'm curious to see who had the most ridiculous or in-questionable-taste screenshots since the competition expressly left it open as to what would be accepted as a "fish".

I responded to your email James. Looking forward to trying it out!

I meant to post last night but life makes fools of us all.
