Attention Humans of Earth, a new episode of Connectivity approaches. Prepare your aural receptors for immediate injection.

This week's episode of the Internet's least-fattening podcast, we talk about the recent Nintendo Direct that broadcast on October 1st. I sure hope you're ready for some snark, because there's a lot of it in this episode.

After that, Alex and Daan go into a deep discussion on Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. They've both played it and reviewed it, and they both have a lot to say. They talk about new battles, new mechanics, mega evolutions, and more!

Finally, Neal, Justin, and Jared share their fresh off the dome impressions on some upcoming Nintendo games as they walk the streets of New York City. They cover Super Mario 3D World and a bunch of other upcoming Nintendo games.

This episode was pretty great, wasn't it? You should review us on iTunes right now because you loved it so much. You should also send us listener mail by clicking here.

If you're going to New York ComicCon, stop by the StreetPass, Pokémon, and Beyond! panel on Saturday, October 12 at 5:30PM in room 1A10.

If Kirby 3DS is not talked about you will lose a subscriber.

It wasn't that important so we just kind of skipped it.

I think we talked about it as much as anybody could talk about a game we know essentially nothing about.

I laughed when Super Mario 3D World was criticized for being too similar to 3d Land and for not doing enough new stuff and then 10 minutes later everyone started begging for Mario Sunshine remake.

Resources, son. I would take a 6 month HD Sunshine port, but I'm also upset that the big 3D Mario game is a direct sequel instead of a crazy new idea. I don't think having both opinions is TOO crazy.

If it only took six months for an amazing edition of Wind Waker, I want Nintendo to do HD ports of most of their GameCube output. F-Zero GX HD. Metroid Prime HD. Super Mario Sunshine HD. Luigi's Mansion HD.

Though I think I'd throw that all away for Rogue Leader HD.

Good discussion on Pokémon. It's baffling to me how not even all of the battles are shown in 3D. The in-consistency of the 3D in the game is quite annoying. They should have pulled 3D from every environment if they didn't want to use it everywhere.

Stupid, the game should be full 3D. You have the slider for a reason.

One review made the guess that the frame rate would be destroyed if they tried making the game full-3D, and I can almost see it based on the fact that battles can chug a tiny bit in 3D. Not even remotely bad enough to mention in the review, but it does make me wonder if triple battles would be technical messes if they were made 3D.

Well their engine must really suck. There are heaps of 3D games on 3DS, and many run perfectly well.
