More 3DS GBA Titles Revealed

Two more GBA titles are confirmed for the Nintendo Ambassador program.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror have been confirmed to be part of the Nintendo Ambassador Program for users who purchased the Nintendo 3DS prior to the recently announced price drop.

While not in the original press release from last week, the news originated from Nintendo of America Customer Service. NWR contacted NOA Customer Service and further confirmed that these two titles will become available to Nintendo Ambassadors later this year.

This brings the number of verified Game Boy Advance titles to seven. Last week, Nintendo confirmed Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

Thanks, Brandon, for the tip!

Can we call back and see if they are going to add in the e-Reader levels and add-ons? That would be so awesome!

That would be but, this is the best version of Super Mario Bros. 3 I've played so far.

The remaining games could be Pokemon TV show episodes and I'd still be ecstatic.

Pokerap = Win!

I'm with Neal, no matter what the rest are the lineup is fantastic. Still, it can get better. Come on, Mario Golf: Advance Tour!

Good choices. Never had a chance to try out Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

If they threw in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (which I cannot find my cartridge of) and Drill Dozer (never owned a copy), this promotion would be one for the ages. Yay for free games!

TJ SpykeAugust 01, 2011

I love SMA4, heard good thing about Amazing Mirror but never played it. Good choices.

Drill Dozer, Mario Golf, and Advance Wars/Fire Emblem.  PLEASE.

I don't know about Drill Dozer happening; there's no rumble in the 3DS.

Olimar77August 01, 2011

I love how we all have our wish list. I'm finally getting around to playing Bowser's Inside Story. This game makes me laugh out loud, so I would love to play Superstar Saga. I would also love to check out Advance Wars -- I almost bought Days of Ruin this morning on Amazon, but went with DQV instead.

I would hope they would finally complete it. Would be awkward if they left it out and had some weird space we couldn't do anything with on the e-map.  Someone find out! So we know whether or not to urge interest. I've been wanting to complete the e-World for a long time...

At the very least we can be safe in the Knowledge that UncleBob has all the e-reader cards and have done all that he can.

I'm going to be very surprised if Minish Cap (or at least A Link to the Past) isn't on the final roster.

It could be, though I'm doubtful since they only seem to want to double up on Mario (remember, Four Swords is coming out free this year as well).

AVAugust 01, 2011

I have all the e-reader levels released in America with my copy of Mario 3. I also have stuff saved, so veggies in single player and cape in mario 3. I still have my e-reader laying around collecting dust. Japan actually got 32 damn levels, which boggles to the mind to why Nintendo NEVER released them as a collection as DSiware.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror is the first game on the list that I don't own which interests me, so it's nice to finally see something. I highly doubt that SMB3 will include the e-Reader levels, but that would be an awesome bonus since at this point playing them legitimately is not easy.

Amazing Mirror is my favorite Kirby game. I'm glad that a lot of fans will get a chance to play it now!

As to the three slots left, I think one of the Zeldas is a given, hopefully Minish Cap, as I don't like Link to the Past and take every opportunity I get to share that wildly unpopular opinion with everyone here.

I would say Advance Wars is more likely than Fire Emblem, but one or the other seems probable.

Since we already have four games on the list with Mario in the title I wouldn't bet on any more, but if it were going to happen I think Mario & Luigi has the best chance.

Amazing Mirror and SMB3, you say?

AW HAYUL YEAH

I know it won't happen, but if the SMA series releases don't support Wifi Mario Bros. Classic, then Boo on them.

Geesh, Nintendo... you *just* sold us SMB 1-3 again on the Wii (Super Mario All-Stars).  Give us something extra, will ya?

ThePermAugust 02, 2011

seems like Nintendo made GBA backward compatability work out in the end. GCN downloads here we come, with enhancements! Theres a couple games i need to rebuy because they got stolen. Hopefully at decent prices.

For me that be Phantasy Star Online.  Monster Hunter scratches that itch some but man I miss weapon switching and dual daggers.

zachs1997August 03, 2011

Do I have to download all the games at once or can I save some for later Because after downloading nintendo video I have like no room for anything.

TJ SpykeAugust 03, 2011

Nintendo just "by the end of 2011" for GBA, so I think they might release them in stages.

zachs1997August 03, 2011

Stages?

BlackNMild2k1August 03, 2011

He means release some on one date and then stagger the releases of the rest of the year.

Some come out Sept. 1st, some come out Sept. 14th, more on October 3rd, etc. etc.

AdrockAugust 03, 2011

As in Nintendo may release 2 or 3 at a time. A possibility though I think they'll release them all at once.

EDIT: Damn you, BlackNMild2k1

These games shouldn't take up too much space. I don't believe any GBA games were larger than 16 MB, so these wouldn't be too much bigger than that, which is nothing compared to the 2 GB available on the included SD card.

You could also buy a bigger SD card and copy all the stuff from your current one over if you really are out of space.

zachs1997August 03, 2011

yah but then i have to put my sd card on the computer. dump the data onto the new one. also i would have to buy a sd card drive and a bigger sd card. I am an ambasidor not a money man

Obviously, you're both... if you can drop $250 on the 3DS, you can drop ~$10 on an 8GB SDHC card.  Or ~$5 on a 4GB card.
