WWE Day of Reckoning 2
THQ has just taken the wraps off of the latest version of their GameCube WWE Wrestling franchise, Day of Reckoning 2. This is the first "true sequel" in the WWE game history, which means that the game will follow the events from the first Day of Reckoning title, and the player will start the game as WWE Champion.
THQ is touting a "fan-centric" design, taking into consideration the requests and desires of the game's fans. The game sports an all-new renderer, and the wrestlers sport more facial expressions and detail than ever before.
The game also includes a new submission system activated with the C-Stick which will allow players more options. Tieds into that feature is a new Stamina system. Players will use stamina to perform moves, but they can use the C-Stick to perform "rest holds" that will allow the player to regain lost stamina.
Finally, the story is getting a great deal of attention, with THQ going as far as to collaborate with actual WWE writers, which should result in more cohesive, believeable storylines.
We'll have more detailed information soon.
