Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton face their biggest challenge yet: a witch trial.

The second trailer for Level-5 and Capcom's Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright from Tokyo Game Show 2011 has been released.

This time, the trailer focuses on the real time 3D graphics as well as the courtroom sessions. One of the many challenges both Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright will face are witnesses that will go up against them in the witch trial case.

More can be seen in the trailer below:

Hell yeah I am excited! Screw Phoenix fighting in UMVC (though that looks awesome too), I want to see an epic BATTLE OF WITS!

So much pointing that mothers will give it an AO rating.

A few things:

1) I got goosebumps watching this trailer, it's so awesome.

2) I absolutely love crossovers.

3) I love how they retained the old sound effects from the Pheonix Wright games in the trailer  ;D

4) I'm glad the trailer is in Japanese because I don't want to know anything else about the story or ANYTHING about this game until it's running on my 3DS.

Wow, even as a fan of the series it's startling to see an Ace Attorney game where actual effort has been put into the presentation.  Phoenix looks kind of weird in this art style, though.

I can only hope that this game (along with Apollo Justice) will eventually get ported to whatever Nintendo's future download service will be, just like the WiiWare versions of the first 3 Ace Attorney games.

EXCITE. I'm not a big Layton fan, but the more Ace Attorney the better.

I've never played any Phoenix Wright games, but I'll take all the Layton I can get.

It would be nice if one of the puzzles would involve the use of  scales and a duck in order to determine the witch-hood of the defendant.  ::)
