T-shirts, plushes and squirt guns! Oh my!

A whole host of Splatoon merchandise is hitting as we approach the game's May 29 release date.

The biggest one for North American fans comes from Target, who are offering a Splatoon-branded squirt gun with their preorders. This joins the Splatoon Mii costumes for Super Smash Bros which are available at Gamestop (US)/Best Buy (Canada) as far as preorder incentives.

Gold Mario Amiibo to Hit Australian Stores

Not one, but two special amiibos will come to the land down under!

The Gold Mario Amiibo figure is set to release in Australia and New Zealand within the coming months.

The extremely limited edition and highly sought after version of the Super Mario Series Amiibo will be exclusive to Target stores, with an unconfirmed release date. The news comes from a Nintendo press release that promises to update with new details soon.

Super Mario Dog Tags Coming Soon

Enterplay will soon be shipping a new series of Super Mario Dog tags to retailers in a variety of formats.

The full set will include 24 standard dog tags, 6 gold dog tags, 4 mini dog tags, 6 deluxe dog tags, 30 trading cards, 12 decals, 2 lunchbox tins, and a binder. These collectables will be available in a variety of formats.

Extra Splatoon Testfire Announced WiiU

There will be one more shot at trying Splatoon before launch.

Nintendo has announced a round of the Splatoon Global Testfire will happen on May 23/24. As with the previous events, there will be one hour of testing of the Turf War mode.

Australia To Receive Silver Amiibo: Exclusive To EB Games WiiU

Australia will be getting the Silver Mario Amiibo around the time North America does.

The special figure will be available from 30 May, and is an EB Games exclusive. It will retail for the standard Amiibo price of AUS$17.95.

The EB Games announcement indicates the figure is only available in limited quantities and will have a strict 1 per person limit.

Nintendo Sales Panic: April 2015 US NPD Group Results Released 3DSWiiU

The NPD Group has released their US sales figures for April, and although a few surprising software numbers have been released, Nintendo hardware struggled with only one major release to buoy it.

Silver Mario Amiibo To Launch May 29 In North America WiiU

Nintendo has announced that the rumored Silver Mario Amiibo will launch in North America on May 29.

A part of the Mario series, the specially designed Amiibo will launch at "all participating retailers and their online stores". The metallic Mario joins the Splatoon series and Wave 4 of the Smash Bros series in launching on Splatoon day.

Nintendo has revealed their full E3 plans including a return of the Nintendo World Championship after 25 years.

Dragon Quest VIII Remake Announced For 3DS

The last DQ holdout has finally come to Nintendo platforms, as Dragon Quest VIII will release in Japan on August 27.

Western gamers originally saw DQVIII release in 2005 on the PlayStation 2, and the new version promises two new companions, voice acting, an orchestrated soundtrack, new story elements and StreetPass functions.
