Infogrames Has Two for Europe

Superman: Shadow of the Apokolips and Mission Impossible are headed to European GameCubes.

According to GameCube Europe, Infogrames will be releasing Superman: Shadow of the Apokolips and Mission Impossible to GameCube in that territory. Superman is currently set for March 19, 2003 and MI's date is TBA.

We contacted Infogrames' North American offices and they had nothing to announce regarding a US release of these games, but there could be announcements in the future.

Square takes a Quest GBA

Quest, the development group behind the latest Tactics Ogre games, is now a part of Squaresoft.

GameSpot reports that Quest announced on Wednesday that they have handed over their software development division over to Squaresoft. Quest was responsible for both Ogre Battle 64 and Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis for GBA, as well as the other games in the Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre series.

The Game Critics Awards announced their Best of E3 2002 winners today, and Doom III for PC took most of the top awards, including Best of Show. Nintendo's Legend of Zelda for GameCube was voted runner-up for Best of Show and took the prize for Best Console Game, though oddly, it didn't get first or second place for Best Action/Adventure Game.

Sega has announced that Sonic Team will reveal the next game in their famous Sonic the Hedgehog series next month.

Next month, on July 13th and 14th, the World Hobby Fair will be taking place in Japan. It is at this event that Sega has said Sonic Team will be unveiling the next Sonic the Hedgehog game. At this time it is currently unknown which platform(s) this new Sonic game will be available on.
