On paper, we’re building a strong foundation for 2016

It’s an interesting debate as to which is the big game of the week, as we’ve got two candidates. On the 3DS, the Year of the Portable RPG gets underway with Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam. Daan thought the European release was pretty good, and we’ll have a review of the North American version shortly. The Wii U’s big release – and based on sales last month, the real winner – is the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode. Can a star-studded cast of characters bring some gravitas to the land of blocks? (And how does this game perform with Telltale’s engine on Wii U?) We’ll find out soon.

On the smaller release front, those looking for a more realistic bowling experience can check out Brunswick Pro Bowling – unfortunately, the cost is consummate with a serious simulation. The Virtual Console follows up their strong week a couple of weeks ago with Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaro’s Treasure and Super Mario Advance 4 (aka Super Mario 3 with MORE SUPER MARIO 3).

Europe picks up a few things in the Late to the Party Department this week, as Adventures of Pip crosses the ocean, bringing a couple of Aksys Games titles in its wake with Radiohammer and Moco Moco Friends. The NA Virtual Console Whine List ™ also grows a bit with the addition of Mario Kart 64.

If you don't yet have Rayman Legends you should use this week's sale to buy it!!!

Funny, the other day I was debating between getting Wario Land 2 and 3 and wound up getting 2... NOA, you cheeky little...

Also are they that desperate to sell copies of Game and Wario that they'll try to label it as a 2d platformer?

Either way I might get freedom planet and DKC because I really need more games on the Wii U to not play because I'm busy with Xenoblade.

Also a new Sega 3DS theme, might have to check that out.

I'm very confused about MineCraft Story Mode's Season Pass. First I have to purchase Episode 1, and THEN I have to purchase a season pass for episodes 2-5? But then I'd be paying MORE than if I just bought episodes 2-5 individually! ($19.99 > (4 x $4.99) ) I checked the prices in the Playstation store and there appears to be the same problem over there... is this just their way of making a couple extra cents off of people?

Great game.
Still easy to find a retail copy for less.

Can someone remind me why physical goods with actual ownership rights are regularly less expensive than their digital counter-parts?  Digital makes sense in many ways, but this pricing structure really doesn't.

I'll probably grab Super Mario Advance 4 since it has the e-Reader levels, not a bad price for levels that would be new to me.

For anyone considering Zack and Wiki, keep in mind that it's cheaper to track down the original disc. For example, GameStop sells it for $2.99... if you can find a copy.
