Test drive the 3DS game with the super-long title (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate) before its March release.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate will be getting an eShop demo prior to its March 5 release in North America, according to Producer Dave Cox.

The game, a side-scrolling cross between Lords of Shadow's combat-heavy gameplay and other portable Castlevania game's Metroidvania design, was previously set for a 2012 release before the delay to 2013. You can check out our E3 2012 impressions here.

Mirror of Fate is developed by MercurySteam, the same company responsible for Lords of Shadow and its upcoming sequel, which will not be hitting Wii U. It stars three Belmonts (Simon, Trevor, and Gabriel) and Alucard in a generation-spanning entry in the series that aims to set up the story for Lords of Shadow 2.

sweet!

I hope to find that it plays at least 50% faster than the E3 demo from last year.

Restricted to three plays.

Looking forward to trying it out.

This is  the type of game demos were made for. I'm dubious about the game, but I'm looking forward to trying the demo for myself.

Glad to hear there is a demo coming. I'm interested in the game, but haven't heard anything positive from people who tried the game last time it was shown.  A demo will (hopefully) give a good idea if it's worth picking up.

I'd be ok with this. If I want to play a demo more than 3 times then it probably means the game is worth owning.
That said, if you have more than one person using your 3DS system then that restriction might feel low.

I'm with Jonny; the E3 demo was promising, but slow, and the enemies took too much damage. Both could have been easily corrected in that time frame.
