Looks like it's not just the games anymore.

Pokémon Best Wishes 2, a new sequel series to the Pokémon Best Wishes anime, has been anounced in the latest issue of CoroCoro.

The new series will continue Ash Ketchum's journey through Unova, except with some fundamental changes. Mainly, more old Pokémon will appear in the series (similar to the upcoming Pokémon Black and White 2). Meloetta and the new Kami trio forms will also be making appearances. The next Team Rocket plot has been announced to feature Giovanni, and the return of Cynthia and Dawn will also be occuring to some extent.

The shift from Pokémon Best Wishes into Best Wishes 2 occurs in Japan on June 21, two days before the release of Pokémon Black and White 2.

I got so sick and tired of Ash's adventures LONG before this announcement.  :@  Why don't they introduce a new protagonist already?  Seeing anyone on TV as dumb as Ash try to be a hero and fail so hard... at that rate, Jar Jar may just as well deserve his own serial.

As much as I enjoyed the Diamond/Pearl series (probably the best written story arc Pokemon ever had; btw doodies, Ash was actually pretty competent in that series), I really couldn't get into the Black/White series, especially the way they completely neutered Team Rocket. That and I found Ash's new traveling companions to be rather lame.

I'm sure here in the states the series will still be called Black & White, just with a new inane subtitle tacked onto the end.

What's next, Pokemon on motorcycles?

Personally, I think everything went downhill after the second generation (games included). And, has anyone else noticed that Ash has been 10 for, like, ALMOST 10 YEARS!?

Bart Simpson's been 10 years old for over 20 years... what's your point?

Actually, Ash is about 11 or 12 now. Besides, this is standard for most cartoons. So what is the problem? I would also argue that Generation IV is much better that III or even I (I has not held up well).

I don't really see the news here, basically you are just saying the cartoon gets a new season. The show changes name about once every year. The current name is Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies.

Actually, Ash is still 10.

The problem I had with the anime was how Ash basically gets reset between regions. Pikachu seems to go back to level 5, and Ash forgets at least half of what he should've learned from battling.

If anyone gets a chance to check out the Pokemon Adventures Manga, do so. I've recommended it before, I think.

Yeah, the Manga is amazing.

I've recently watched the anime from the start till the end of the orange islands, it was fairly enjoyable still. Although I found myself not being as annoyed by team rocket, as a kid I used to get really fed up with them. They are pretty funny sometimes, and James cross dresses a lot more than I remembered.
