Prepare to dodge and shoot bullets in an old-school shooter mini-game.

Even though the release of Tatsunoko VS Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is less than a month away, Capcom appears to still have some secrets left to share. It was just recently revealed that the upcoming fighter will include new endings from Udon, and now Capcom has unveiled an overhead shooter mini-game.

In the brand new mini-game entitled Tatsunoko VS Capcom: Ultimate All-Shooters, players will be able to select their favorite fighter and shoot at hordes of flying monstrosities. Four players can tackle the mini-game together for simultaneous shooter action. Special moves will be available for extra damage, and repeat playthroughs are encouraged because stages will morph depending on how you're playing. Check out a video of the new mini-game below:

Tatsunoko VS Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars arrives at retailers on January 26.

Awesome. This may be the first non-Smash fighting game I've bought since SNES.

Is that in addition to the Lost Planet shooting minigame (there's one minigame per character and the one for the LP mech is a 4 person top down shooter) that was already in the game?

I must resist the temptation to buy the game and fightstick bundle.

The white stick looks so hot, though...

White hot.

Not anymore.  According to the latest Nintendo Power, they said most of the minigames were removed and now there's only a few.  This new shooter minigame is just an upgraded version of the PTX minigame from the original game since that was one of the few minigames that got to stay.

Hopefully these upgrades to the few remaining minigames will be great enough to make up for the fact the majority of them were removed.
