Title: The Nintendo Switch North America Launch Lineup So Far
Post by: Deezer on January 12, 2017, 05:21:00 PM

Beyond Nintendo's presentation, a flurry of announcements has the Switch's software launch lineup slowly taking shape.

A bevy of announcements both during and outside of Nintendo's Switch January 2017 presentation has started to life the veil on what could be the launch software for the Nintendo Switch.

It's important to keep in mind that this is very early information, and additional announcements in the coming days and weeks could definitely add to and clarify the list. However, that said, this is what it looks like so far just several hours after Nintendo's presentation:

Launch Titles in North America:

March releases in North America, possibly at launch:

April releases in North America:

Spring 2017 releases in North America:

Summer 2017 releases:

Fall 2017 releases:

Holiday 2017 releases

"2017" releases

I really hoped we might see Dragon Quest X in the west, but it's never going to happen, is it?

That's not a very good launch lineup.

Steep looks sweet. Other than that and Zelda, this is the weakest launch line-up since well...the Wii U.

This makes it easy to not be tempted to buy a Switch before Mario.

Thank-you Shaymin!

That one interests me. My wife and I will have fun with this like with did with the sword fighting on Wii Sports Resort.

This is odd to me. The graphic doesn't show Fire Emblem Warriors, but we have a Nintendo Direct about it next week?

Interesting, Shinen is doing Fast RMX and Nicalis is publishing Redout. Both are futuristic racers.

Not very many launch games, but Zelda is really all that matters, anyway.
I will have to wait and hear what the PAL/Australian launch titles are.

Steep looks pretty great.
It is dumb that Skyrim isn't coming until the fall. That will be as nice fuil-priced Switch game at a time when all other versions are massively discounted. Hopefully they will program in some Nintendo-centric extra content?

This is definitely shaping up so far to be a smaller launch than either the Wii or Wii U. However, there's still ton at launch that I'm eager to get my hands on: 3 actual launch day titles and 7 total in March. I do usually tend to buy a lot of launch games, but with such a small launch I guess if I were objective about it I have to be a little impressed at the number of games on my radar right now.
