A special Yokai Watch themed Nintendo 3DS XL is scheduled to hit Japanese store shelves on July 10 for ¥18,000 (about $177).
The unit is white and features a full color version of the yokai Jibanyan as well as gray silhouettes of other creatures on the device. The new system will also come with a special “Gold Nyan” card, but will not include a copy of Yokai Watch.
Yokai Watch has sold nearly 1 million physical units in Japan. The sequel, Yokai Watch 2 will release on the same day as the new XL, July 10, and will be available in two versions, Honke and Ganso.
