Despite its success, Capcom also took its lumps. Its upcoming title Dark Void (PS3/360) was delayed to the fourth quarter of FY2009 in North America and Europe to "avoid competition with releases of major titles of other companies". Bionic Commando (PS3/360) also failed to meet sales expectations, selling only 550,000 copies worldwide for the quarter.
Capcom's arcade business took a loss overall, with arcade operations sales down 6.5% to $30.9 million, and arcade game sales down a whopping 69% to $3.3 million. The reason for this massive decline was cited as "an absence of new models and severe competition at the retail level" (basically, Capcom has stopped selling arcade games because nobody is buying them). The next coin-operated arcade machine to be released by the company is Mario Party Fushigi no Korokoro Catcher ("Mario Party Mysterious Heart Catcher"), coming this fall.
