Episode 3, titled Baddest of the Bands, begins with Strong Bad's Fun Machine (his Atari 2600 clone) breaking down. Strong Bad decides to enter the Battle Royale of the Bands in order to win enough money to fix his Fun Machine. Unfortunately, the only characters available to join his band are some of the most inept characters in the land, the King of Town and Homsar. After assembling his band, Strong Bad must name it. Players can choose from a set of humorous hidden adjectives and nouns, all of which end up with the telling acronym, “DOI.”
The bands are judged by Strong Bad's favorite band, Limozeen, with its members based on the original Strong Bad creators. However, when the actual judges show up, it turns out that they are nothing more than cardboard cutouts of Limozeen with speakers attached. Strong Bad must face off against Homestar, who appears unusually skilled in fronting the band. One of Strong Bad's first tasks is to find out who is feeding Homestar cues and sabotage them.
The Fun Machine (once operational) includes another new game, this time a simple shoot-em-up, which is far more complex and engaging than the first's Snake Boxer game. The game is called Limozeen: Hot Kakelian Odyssey. Of course, other Strong Bad staples, such as his e-mail make appearances.
