There will be some new action this weekend in Splatoon, but the grand war of dogs and cats has had a temporary cease fire.
After some matchmaking issues cropped up in last week's Rice v Bread competition in Japan - many matches ended up in 4v1 situations, and some players could not join matches at all - Nintendo is working on a fix, but has postponed this weekend's North American Splatfest to ensure a smooth experience. No makeup date has yet been announced.
Shortly before the announcement, the next map was revealed. Squid Research has revealed the new map as Bluefin Depot. The most prominent feature of the map is the large valley in the middle that forces wall climbing to attempt to break through to the opponent's side.
