If the eShop is a tad slow right now, this is probably why.

The Pokémon Home client for Switch is now available for download.

Although an update is required for Pokémon Bank to use the 3DS transfer functionality, the listing for the mobile apps have gone live in North America.

Players who successfully log into Home will receive a special gift Pikachu, while logging in on the mobile version will allow for a free Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.

Anything special about these starters that we know of? And do you get to choose the starter or is it random?

You get to choose the starter. I haven't seen anything special about them though.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to jump in here and share a frustration I had with the mobile app. It's definitely buggy like a lot of Pokemon Company apps are.

If your Pokedex isn't updating as you transfer Pokemon in and you are confused, on the launch splash screen, hit the menu/hamburger button in the upper right and then clear cache. It will then probably take forever to start up again, but this works to solve the stupid bug.

Also, for those asking about something special with the starters, they do have their hidden ability that you can only get through different special ways.
