2007 was a banner year for Nintendo. The DS continued to be a powerful force in the handheld market, while the Wii came into its own. Both systems had some great titles and greatness deserves recognition. That's why we have the NWR Awards. In this, the seventh year of our awards, we look to continue the tradition of recognizing the best games, best design, and biggest events of 2007.

Certainly you realize that everyone else has long since given out their awards for 2007. We apologize for being so late this year, but the site has been undergoing a transition (a new server, for instance) and that definitely slowed things down. Think of it this way: The Oscars are last and they're the most important film awards, right? Exactly.

So, without further ado, let's get on with the awards.
