To once again borrow the quote from 1996 Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle: "Truth be told, I'm not a big fan of the Dark Souls. And if I could make any developer in the industry tap out, it'd be Miyazaki." Yes, I have to be reminded that the game that led to a six month later death of scores of video game websites because their traffic dropped six months later and line must go up is coming to Switch 2, as much as I hoped it would get the Borderlands 4 treatment after Gamescom last year. It's not the only game that sucked up The Discourse coming to Switch 2 this week, though Metal Gear Solid 4 is a) also coming to Switch and b) coming with the best MGS, Peace Walker (the original Monster Hunter with guns which would get its torch picked up by 2016 Game of the Year Metroid Prime: Federation Force).
Other items of note: NISA-published strategy RPG Brigandine Abyss, the just-in-time-for-the-EPL-kickoff soccer RPG Captain Tsubasa 2 on Switch, compilation adventure game The Immortal John Triptych, Indie World veteran Lou's Lagoon, and a Toaplan Garage game that sounds like a really messed up Sharpedo Terastalization.
THINGS WE MISSED LAST WEEK: 1000xResist wasn't the only game to cross over to Switch 2 with Another Crab's Treasure and Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo both getting no-cost upgrades. Unless you're in Japan. Also, anti-plug for Console Archives game Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess for being COMPLETELY UNTRANSLATED.
