Huh. This is a weird spin-off title. I kind of like it though. It's a smart expansion of Animal Crossing gameplay. It's something that should almost be included in the actual series depending on how it actually turns out. I'm interested. Oh. And card Amiibo are finally here. Nintendo is really embracing the idea of selling you more and more product for a game. Amiibos and DLC. They are after your wallet now.

Did this really merit a stand alone game? I mean, apart from the printing money for Nintendo aspect.

Yeah. This game and the Amiibo card part really remind me of the old eCard reader for GameBoy Advance. It feels like something that would have been developed for it.

Designing homes was never a part of Animal Crossing games I enjoyed, so I doubt I will pick up this title since it focuses only on that part.

So is it like DLC or what?

It's not DLC. Per the article:

"A new Animal Crossing title"

"No chores will be in the upcoming title"

And only 10 seconds into the video, they say "a brand new Nintendo 3DS game".

Not sure what made you think it was DLC when the video and article both make it clear that it's a new game.
