The 3D painting app is getting some changes before the end of the year.
Before the end of this year, Collecting Smiles plans to issue an update patch to their hugely popular Colors! 3D drawing application.
Besides a promised fix for some known bugs in the software, there will be major changes to the game's gallery mode. The first is the addition of an option to "follow" an artist in a manner similar to that seen on social media services like Twitter and Instagram. The works of any artists you follow will appear on the front page of your gallery.
The favorites gallery (which is now renamed to "liked paintings") will also be made public, so friends can see each other's favorite works and find art that they might enjoy with greater ease. There's also word of a filter option that will work towards finding a solution to the Colors! community's varied opinion on tracing, though this feature will be elaborated upon in the near future.
No set release date for the update is yet confirmed, but when it comes it will be a free download from the eShop. We'll have more details when they surface.
