Art on n-Space's Facebook page teases an upcoming game.

n-Space revealed art from an upcoming 3DS collaboration with Square Enix called Heroes of Ruin.

The title was initially trademarked in April 2011, and is the first of several 3DS game reveals n-Space has up their sleeve.

n-Space, best known for their work with Nintendo on Geist, has recently worked on Call of Duty and GoldenEye for DS. They also developed the Tron Evolution games for Wii and DS.

Heroes of Ruin will likely be at E3 2011 at Square Enix's booth.

The quick description of the game in Nintendo Power actually gives us a lot of interesting information about the game. As suggested by the concept art, Heroes of Ruin is a four-player game. The four characters in Heroes of Ruin are mercenaries. Depending on the character you choose, you will be able to customize his or her weapon, armor, and class abilities. These will be earned by completing parts of the main game.

You may be thinking that this all sounds dandy, but it’s almost impossible to get four friends together at the same time, in the same place that all have 3DS systems. Don’t worry, you won’t have to round up three friends to play this game cooperatively. n-Space is boasting one of the most impressive online offerings for the 3DS to date by offering drop-in/drop-out co-op gameplay and voice chat through the 3DS’s built in microphone. I can’t think of another game that offers voice chat on the 3DS, so this is very exciting for that platform. Heroes of Ruin’s online functionality doesn’t stop there, however. The 3DS’s SpotPass feature will be used to offer players DLC. Nintendo Power specifically lists daily challenges as an example of the type of content you can expect.

If their Video player choice is any indication of the games Quality then I will definitally pass because it will be horrible.

Those don't look bad but, some of those screens indicate something that would need to be seen in motion.  Like F-Zero.

BlackNMild2k1May 31, 2011

i was gonna edit in that I'm sure it looks alot better in motion.

Also that every game can't look as impressive as RE: Revelations especially since this has a very different art style.

Doesn't the 3DS have enough RAM to handle better textures than this?

Better graphics can be produced on the 3DS. That there is still a long time before the release is the only reason why I'm not going crazy about the graphics. I just hope they actually improve. Nothing short of GameCube graphics is acceptable in my eyes post-launch titles. There is no excuse otherwise when it comes to 3D titles  (in the 2D/3D area not 3D slider aspect).
