The latest Pokémon title is now its biggest seller.
Pokémon Black and White has crossed the five million unit mark in Japan, making it the fastest DS game to reach the milestone, according to Famitsu (via Andriasang).
The game, which launched in September 2010, sold just shy of the mark last year. It took a little more than a week of 2011 for Pokémon Black and White to cross the five million unit threshold. The exact number of units sold is 5,036,724.
There are only four other DS games that have sold more than five million units in Japan, including New Super Mario Bros., and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
Pokémon Black and White is set to release in North America and Europe in the first week of March.
